Looking for some input.
What would a reasonable person be doing?
If you assembled widgets in your small factory, and it was imperative that stock turn over in a timely manner...
A person calls you about repairing his widget - which is rather large. He wants you to keep his widget safely stored in a rubbermaid container while you have it. You agree to this as long as he does this repair within a month ( he claims he will order the fixtures to fix the widget).
It has now been 2 1/2 months, and he has not returned your calls in over a month. You called him 5 times a week for three weeks.
You do NOT want to take his widget out of the rubbermaid container, but REALLY need the space for other containers. He has made no effort to contact you, and has not given you ANY green stuff.
Would you, as a reasonable person, take his container out of your factory, and safely store it off to the side. Or, would you continue to keep it in the factory, even though it's preventing you from helping other people?
What is reasonably expected at the widget factory?
Any and all input is appreciated, as I am struggling with this one.

I forgot this part. You know the person is ok, because you have called their employer (still showing up for work), and you've seen them post frequently on widget forums.

If someone doesn't have the decency to call you back for over two months, assuming your leaving messages, I wouldn't do anything above and beyond for him/her.

Mail widget to said person's home or place of employment.
Send bill for widget freight to widget neglector.

You could notify widgeteer that they have two weeks from said date to pick up widgets or widgets will be put out for trash. If they are any type metal widgets some scrap collector will claim them before the trash company arrives. If said widgets happen to be a VR4 or a TT, notify me and they will disapear faster.
Seriously though. When one of my employees quits, retires or is terminated they are notified they have 30 days to remove personal property and or tools or items will be put out for trash. At the two week point we send them a reminder letter. You wouldn't believe in the last three years I had an employee retire and an employee leave on disability and never return for their tools. I stored the tools for the person who retired for well over a year before we put them out because he worked for me for a long time. He never even contacted us back.
Good luck Jeff.

You are a lot more reasonable man than I.
I once came to my factory to find a dead widget left blocking my entrance where I store my own widget. The person whom left it there (he knows who he is) figured it was the smart thing to do as it broke down only a few blocks from my factory. Apparently, I never got the message it was there.
Said widget was left in the street, and I did not repair it.

Thank you for the replies!
Pretty much what I was thinking, but I wanted to make sure I was acting in a rational manner, and not an emotional one.
Complicating the matter is I have time into it... The main rotating wheel of the widget was removed and taken to a regional widget factory for polishing and enlarging. The factory had a few hours into it before I wisely told them to stop. So, we have my time, plus I OWE the regional factory for their time, as someone has to pay them and I NEED to maintain a good working relationship with them. They are being patient, but eventually...
I spent FOUR hours of my time this week taking his widget out of the rubbermaid container. We've had sooooo much white stuff lately, and I simultaneously have four widgets without rotating wheels here - which all had to be moved around so I could finish ones that actually paid the regional factory. Very challenging to move widgets in all the white stuff, especially since factory is on a hill.
I've decided I don't want to be shitty the weekend prior to Christmas, so after the holiday we'll be taking the next step.
A small factory doesn't want a bad name, but this is just crazy.
Thanks again for the input everyone.

Widgets, yes widgets.
You have been posting on a widget forum for many years now. Time to lay off the hard stuff my friend.
