Brandon. Get it running yet? What do you need help with? sorry, didn't see this one last weekend. and if it's ARC tunning problems I'm not sure how much help I'll be... Well, last night I delivered Jesse's exhaust to him. I got there and was greeted by a smiling man covered in exhaust grime. Jesse looks at me and goes "Do ya wanna help me put it on?" So we tore the rest of his old exhaust off and put the new one on. very easy both ways, I was impressed. I hate ehaust. the bolts are always rusted, and won't break free with anything less than an air rachet at 90 psi or a torch/grinding wheel. His was butter. The Borla went on easy. that's a good system. four peices that clamp together. very user friendly. If old exhaust bolts would all break free that easy I would say this mod is easier than an air filter... sounds deep and throaty. Jesse couldn't hear it, cause he wouldn't get out of the car... Didn't fix his tune/timing problem though... So after we're done we went in the house and chewed the fat a little bit. (I thought he'd offer me a burger or something, seeing as I delivered his exhaust, helped him put it on, and it's my birthday the next day[today], or at least make me some french toast, right Joe? ) After that I went home. Jesse you have to start warning me when it gets past nine o'clock man. that was a long haul to get back a 12:30. I do love driving through Milwaukee, though. I miss that. I would like to get a job back down there at least for a little while. With the lights downtown that city is gorgeous. And even in the middle of road construction you still drive 80 in a 55 to keep up with traffic.

This time next year you'll be sitting around with me and Jesse talking about how "you never meant to get DR1000s"

Sorry about the no food deal. I'll owe you one for that. The Borla sounds good. Very happy with it so far. Now I just have to use aluminum polish on it to get it shiny, hehe. I think that might have been the fastest exhaust swap ever

I'll second the fastest exhaust swap ever... you were an animal... must have understudied Jeff or something... and just so the rest of w3si knows Jesse was polishing the tips before we had all the bolts tight... HA! <-- need more smilies.

Well, i finally fixed the major leaks i had, but im still having a little leak from the proboost MBC(theres a hole in the side of it) and my idel screw. So i unpluged the relay for the fuel pump hot wire kit to start my car up and maybe burn off some fuel thats in the motor. It just cranked. So i plugged it back in and started the car up, only to have it not starting still. Anyone else have an idea of what to do? My settings are at -1 -5 +1 +2(8oclock) on my arc2.

There's supposed to be a little hole in the MBC. That's where it bleeds off the pressure before it get's to the WG actuator which gives you more boost.
Try these settings.
-3 -7 +1 +2
Use only the low knob to get your car to start, once it's runing, go back and forth using the low and accell knob.

It just cranks and cranks but doesnt start. i have my TPS set to 13% (if it matters), anything else that i could possibly do or what a reason could be? I cant think of anything since it was runing before, only didnt start after i changed the TPS from 14 to 9.

Brandon, it's as simple as this. if you're fuel pressure is way off from stock, then the standard arc2 settings people tell you to use are going to mean jack-squat. what you NEED to do is have someone check the fuel pressure gauge while you are cranking the engine. it should be about 39psi at idle, and a few more (42-44psi) when cranking. if it's NOT that, increase/decrease your fuel pressure until it gets to that level. if you dont have somoene to check, then give 12v to the fuel pump check connector behind the pass side strut (its listed in the service manual). power that thing up, your pump will run and you will see fuel pressure on the gauge. adjust appropriately.
once you have proper fuel pressure, then use the settings that greg is giving you and the settings that generally work for people on 3si with your sized injectors. -1 (or so), -6, -5, +2 (or so) with 720cc injectors.
quit trying to shoot things in the dark with your eyes closed... you might get lucky and shoot down a pheasant, but chances are you'll just waste a lot of ammo.

Yeah. don't shoot Pheasants Bradon. Just go to KFC. They taste like chicken anyways.
If I can get the E-manage working I'll buzz down by you and do some tweaking and adjusting on the way and then I'll give you a hand watching gauges if it'll be a help. Let me know.

The fuel pressure is set at about 43 while cranking. Anything else that i could check or what else i could possibly adjust? Im just not getting this at the moment.
