I just got the car back and now its only hitting 7 or 1 or 2 bars below that sometime on the boost gauge where as before it was hitting close to the 14 mark. I am almost positive it is due to my stock BOV. It was leaking before it went in.
Greg can we do a pressure test on it? I am planning on getting a twin intake system, do i have to have the stock one on there to do the pressure test, because I will just leave it on.
Any other help would be great.

You'd have to some how rig up your own way to attach the air compressor to one of the intakes, then capping the other so no air escapes.
To be honest, I kinda doubt the BOV leaks so much now that your turbos can't build boost, when it was just fine before. The only way that would happen is if it got messed up some how when it was removed.
I'm guessing it's an issue with the vac lines for the boost control sollinoid.

Stock boost solinoid? The coil in mine opened up and all I would boost to was 6psi. Boy that was a long time ago.

if it is the boost solenoid, then how would I fix this problem, or what would I replace it with?
Thanks.

I didn't say it was a problem with the sollinoid itself. Probably one of the vac lines going to/from it.

would a pressure test find which line it is?

Is there a day when you would have time to do one on my car?

Do you have an aircompressor? I'm afraid I don't.

the stock boost solenoid is a bleeder type system. it bleeds away the pressure from the waste gates to increase boost. The failure mode normally is that the coil opens up causing the solenoid to stay closed. This then causes the wastgates to see full manifold pressure - hence the 6 or so psi boost. If one of the lines going to the stock solenoid would be off it would more than likely cause higher boost than low as more air would bleed off the waste gate circuit causing higher boost.

it seems to be reaching higher boost last night, could it be that the ecu is just trying to relearn it, or no. It was sitting with a lot of stuff detached for about 5 weeks. If the boost solenoid is actually bad, would i just have to get a boost controller to fix it?
