Going to be putting in a EGT gauge while the motor is out and looking for a set of gauges to go with. From what I gather, its 10x's better if your EGT gauge has peek hold capabilities right? I also want to eventually do the following gauges: Fuel Pressure Oil Pressure Coolant Temp Boost isnt needed for a while since my heads up display displays peak hold boost.
I was thinking about going with the autometer nexus. Gauges are sweet as hell, but also have the price to match. The controll unit is $200 and each gauge is $200, but you get what you pay for. They also have a playback sequence which is pretty cool. Some ideas that I've toyed with is having a matching EGT and Fuel Pressure on the a-pillar and then going with someone else for the 3 center gauges. If anyone has any ideas for me, feel free to post your suggestions.

I have 52 mm greddys for the center three gauges. they're electronic, so no oil running past the firewall. (I never liked that Idea.) If you make a little mounting plate and do a little plastic work they look pretty stock.
I like them.
just an FYI.

If I had a choise between the autometer nexus and the defi BF, I would choose the autometer. They are about the same price exect the autometer control unit costs a little more.

This post is going to be 100% opinion and preferance. So take it for what it's worth.
My only complaints about the autometer gauges has been the fonts and poor illumination. Especially with the 52mm (2 1/16") gauges. The 60mm (2 5/8") aren't too bad. Now, I've never seen the Nexus gauges in person and my vision isn't a pefect 20/20, but I have a hard time seeing where exactly the needle is pointed at a quick glance on the smaller gauges. Especially when you're doing a 3rd gear pull over 100 mph and want to see what's going on at the same time keeping an eye on the road. That's where the peak hold and warning lights come in handy too. With the larger gauges, the fonts are bigger and there's more space between the "ticks" making it easier on the eye to see where you're at.
Nexus don't come in 60mm and that's the only reason why I'd probably never get them. Peak hold oil pressure and water temp gauges seem kinda pointless to me too (for what I use my car for)...
b.t.w. The only reason I'm using Greddy gauges is because, durring the day, they match the stock gauges really well.
Once again, this post was 100% opinion. You may feel differently.

Im thinking about going with the either Defi or Autometer Fuel pressure and EGT in the A pillar. I think those are the 2 best gauges to have the peek hold and playback on unless someone tells me otherwise. Boost is another good one but my heads up display already does peak boost. The other gauges can wait awhile and I can put some cheaper gauges in the dash for oil pressure, coolant, and boost.

Once again, strictly opinion, but I don't feel there's any point in having the fuel pressure gauge in the cabin at all. I guess it's nice to have if you want to see if you're pump can keep up and your regulator isn't getting over-run, but I have no doubt my Denso 310 is keeping up with the pithily 550 injectors.
The only thing you really need a fuel pressure gauge for is setting the FP to which it's handier (and much much cheaper) to have it under the hood.
If I get the $$, I'm definitely ditching the dual pillar pod for a single as a single (putting the EGT in the center of the dash) doesn't block your view. It has happened a couple times where I've pulled out in front of a car because I didn't see it behind the pod. Single pods (are cheaper) don't stand out as much for thieves to notice either.
Plus having dual 60mm gauges in any dual pod means the gauge sitting in the lower pod is going to be partially blocked by the gauge above it. This gets kinda annoying.

I've considered those for the center console too.

I haven't been able to talk to anyone about them so I have no idea. Posted a thread on 3si about a year ago and no one replyed. No one will speak up about them other than, "Has anyone ever seen these before?"
I figured I'd be the guinea pig and write a review if I got them.

Some one on Us3s also saw those gauges, and I believe he even bought some, but I'm not sure if he ever wrote a review, and I know he doesn't post anymore. I remember him commenting on them being very expensive, though...
I'll look for it tonight, if nothing else.

Actually the Dakota gauges are really cheap. You can get an EGT with probe for under $150 I think.
