If Greg or someone is helping you they might have other suggestions.... When putting it back in, the best way I've found is to keep the fins on the bottom of the tranny parallel with the ground. Put the jack directly on the finned area, and have someone jack it while you lay under car balancing bell housing - keeping it just slightly higher than jack. That little angle will allow it to go up and clear the frame.
Again, others may have different suggestions, but I've done many, many of these and that way is quick and efficient. Thanks jeff for the info.....

Did you adjust the clutch pedal after making all of those changes?
It may just be that the clutch itsnt fully disengaging with the pedal to the floor.

It may just be that the clutch itsnt fully disengaging with the pedal to the floor. I played with it, but i dont know where the pedal is suppose to be?? I just have it where it feels comfortable, it starts to disenguage about 4 to 5 inches from the floor

WOW! not sure exactly whats up with that, then. I know my clutch grabs right off the floor. like an inch or so. But thats where i like it for the purpose of racing so i dont have to move my foot off the pedal.

You went the wrong way with it. It's not supposed to grab off the floor! Mine is adjusted all the way out.
I don't think it's that though. Your syncros probably aren't in as good of shape as you thought. You need to disassemble the whole shaft and pull the gears and stuff off in order to get a good look at them. Looking at them with just the case off isn't going to cut it. They may look fine on the outside, but you're not going to see the wear and possibly cracks with it all assembled.
Sorry man.

Sorry man. well ill probably pull everything apart anyways, cause i just found out that i have no fulcurm clip on my clutch fork, according to the book i need this falcurm clip on the clutch fork, my clutch fork is just riding on that little ball with nothing behind it.

Ah, so everything is probably just flexing and nothing is moving.
