Just did this to my parents PT Cruiser over the weekend:

www.w3si.org/images/G-Ell/FrontEmblemAfter.jpgwww.w3si.org/images/G-Ell/FrontEmblemAfter2.jpgAt the moment I can only gold plate over something that is already chrome, brass, copper, or nickel. We can't
yet do plastic or aluminum. Stay tuned in next couple weeks for something really "neat".
The finish is real 24 karat gold, and we warranty our work for 5 years against corrosion or fading. Real gold never fades in sun or corrorde when exposed to road salt.
The cost do to an emblem this size is about $50. We can do a whole car (all 4 sides) for $175-250 depending on the size of the emblems and the vehicle. Other chrome pieces like rims or door handles, we'd have to discuss.
Dealerships charge anywhere from $800-$1000 for their plated emblems.
You can't buy gold plated emblems from the factory! All the gold kits are done aftermarket either by ordering new emblems or removing the emblems from the vehicle, sending them to the plating shop, and putting them back on. That's why it's so expensive.
We can beat any price. Our kit is beutiful in that
we can plate your emblems on your car without harming your paint. Heck, our kit runs off 12 volts and can use the factory cigarette lighter. I can even come to your house, and you can watch me plate right in your driveway.
It doesn't stop with automotive parts. I can plate anything. Rings, bathroom faucettes, intruments, all kinds of things. Use your imagination.
If you'd like us to do some plating for you, please call Derrick or I at 608- 438-7267 or 608-212-4355.
thanks for your time,
Greg
