I may have a bad ECU, and the only way to find out of course is to try a good ECU. My car is at Jeff's (440 4X4) house, all you'd have to do is meet me over there for a few minutes so we can try out your good ECU to determine if thats my problem. If you have to drive a ways, I have no problem compensating you for your time and gas. As for when, I need to get this thing outta Jeff's garage soon so he can take hold of other jobs so the sooner the better. You can PM me, but I'd prefer if you sent me an email at matt6g72@hotmail.com. Thanks!

By year. I believe that the 94~95 and possibly the 96 had the bastard ECU, and after that they had to be OBDII.

I've got a 95 in storage. I could stop out at the shed and pull the ECU if it doesn't take long, then I will be in Lake Geneva Monday or Tuesday, but I don't know when I'll be able to just buzz around, as it's work related. Plus are you may want to ask jeff if you need a 94 or if any hybrid will work. I'm not sure if every year is exactly the same... If your intrested let me know and I'll email you my phone number, or you can check with Greg, I believe he has a hybird bastard also.

I will PM jeff on that- he said any 2nd gen would work, not sure about a hybrid but I'll ask and get back to you.

Where does Jeff live and about how long will it take? I will (should) have my car out tomorrow. Even though it's Easter, I could stop by if it's convenient enough. My availability goes down hill after tomorrow ... I have stuff going on after work just about every night. Tuesday might be another possibility, though.
Mine is a 95 VR4.

I sure thought that the 94~95(6?) were hybrid ECUs and that's why they were such a pain in the @$$ to Datalog. I could be wrong though... And maybe he meant any second gen stealth, because they should all have the hybrid ECUs, as the 96 TT's I thought were left over 95's that dodge dressed up a bit, and that's why so few were sold. oh well. You could always just buy a new one and try it.

He said it would work, but instead of me putting in your good ECU, he wants to try my ECU in your car. I would buy a new ECU, but if its my car thats damaging my ECU its pointless and a waste of money.

Oh, ok, I see. Then you may want to try someone with a car that is closer, as mine is still locked up in jail, getting out on bail after the rain washes the salt off the roads. Or Saturday, which ever comes first... I'll be buzzing down to lake geneva with the benz this week, so I thought I might be able to just bring the ECU down with me. The whole car is a bit harder.

when jeff needed to 'borrow' my car / ecu, he took the 'bad' ecu and hooked it up to mine car just to be on the safe side incase it was the car that was wrong and not the ecu. started my car up and it was all good, so it wasnt the ecu that was bad. id drive down there to help you out and all, but my car isnt running that great
