The arrangements at the hotel have been made, so you can call them anytime. The 1-800 number is on the webpage. I think the cheapest rooms are in the $60s somewhere with our 20% off. Mention "Minnesota 3/S" for your discount.
Let me know if you have any problems.
later, Curt

Hey Curt, no way are you going to trick WI club members into saying they are with MN 3/S. Tell them you are with the WI 3/S car club. They'll give you the discount.

That is just the start. Once we all get down there, I'm gonna make you all wear MN 3/S t-shirts since last year Jesse actually got one of my club members to wear a W3SI shirt. The held rooms at the hotel are under my name or "Minnesota 3/S" But if you simply tell them you are with the car club staying there that weekend, they will probably figure it out. later, Curt

Oh well, I'm sure we'll be back for the nighttime festivities. However... I may have my new car by then... and if we're going to a wedding there's bound to be alcohol... so my gf may have to learn stick real quick!

Just as an FYI to everyone... The first sponsor we lined up for the UMG this year is http://raceramps.com from Brute Industries in Michigan. They are providing us with a set of "race ramps" which are designed for cars with low ground clearance --> http://www.raceramps.com/techspec.htm . A set of these ramps will be given away FREE at the UMG! (retail $165 per set) More to come...

Brett, it is about an hour and a half from Port Wash to Masidon, but we'll be in the Dells, which is much farther than that. And, yes, I'm sure you'll be back. I know you wouldnt miss it. Just teach Amber to drive stick real quick.

Sponsors. wow. that's sweet. how does that work? do they have to pay money, or just donate something to be given away? what do they get out of it other than an honorable mention? ie names on banner, or business card sized add on placemats where we eat? How many sponsors typically donate to this event? Do they send hot models to stand by there stuff? Do we get t-shirts with the drive it like you stole it saying on it? How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

The route they suggest has you going all the way south to Madison before veering north again towards Beaver Dam. *shrug* If that's truly the fastest way to go, that's sad.

Basically, I contact possible sponsors (or someone puts them in touch with me like in this case - Jason), they either say "sure" or "go blow" to donating something for giveaway items. They get recognition, honorable mention, advertising links on the mn3s and w3si website, their names on the UMG'05 signature banner, and they get me babbling on and on about them during the giveaways - but most importantly, hopefully support from club members. Last year we had 2 sponsors - 3SX Performance and Import Power Online. We gave away more than $700 worth of items last year (Crank pulley, control arms, spark plug wires, plug, magazines, car care kits, etc.. Funny, cause the NG didn't even give that much away IIRC. As for t-shirts, I can order another batch *if* there's interest, but that should be on a different thread. Let's keep this one on topic.

I'll be there! Although I'm gonna have to break something on my car so we can through it at the horseshoe stakes on the beach at the resort. Also, I hope not to set my car on fire again this year.
