Could I borrow anyone's 94/95 logger for a minute or two? I'm having an odd issue with mine. Trying to deturmine if it's my car, the cable, or my palm.

This is something else....
CE light flashes when I turn the logger on and the palm doesn't connect. I've been talking with Shiver about it, and he's stumped too. Next step is to try another palm logger.

If at all possible, I would also like to borrow someone's 94/95 logger for a minute or two at the next gathering. While I was swapping gauges I turned the key on to check the wiring and forgot to plug the passenger airbag in first. So now the SRS light is on and I need it cleared.

Greg, where did you say you got your palm, cord, and software from? I'm going to chase one of these loggers down hopefully this week.

I actually got my used thru a local WI-DSMer. Try a wanted add on www.dsmtrader.comThanks to Brandon, I've narrowed the problem down to my palm or software. I'm going to wipe the palm memory clean, reboot, and reinstall it. For clearing the SRS light, you can just unplug the box, then plug it back in. It's located right under your center console. Jeff ( www.stealth316.com) has instructions on his site for getting at it.

You mean you got the cord through a local dsm dealer, correct?
What version(s) palm is the software compatable with?

I got my palm (m515, the one shiver recomends) with the serial cable & USB cradle, along with a pouch from a DSM owner in Oconomoc (sp?). The datalogger cable (the one you plug into your car) comes with the software when you buy it from Shiver. You can only buy it thru him (or used). That cable plugs into your diagnostic port and the serial cable which connects to the palm.

i got mine from shiver on 3si, but that is only the cord that runs from the car, and the software. the palm i got on ebay, along with another cord that connect the palm to his cable. the total was over 300, but who knows. just my input for you. ill have my stealth up in gb tomorrow, and let u check out the palm and se if u like it. # is 920-226-0121 if u need to get a hold of me.

Why won't it clear when I just unhook the battery for a while? Does the control module have it's own battery back up, and that's why unplugging it resets it? If I do unplug the box and plug it back in with the battery connected any chance of blowing the bags? I hate air bags. Why can't the government just let us bang our heads off the dash board like back in the day. When I was a kid.................. blah blah blah. i3ivix17 wrote: ill have my stealth up in gb tomorrow yes, I will have to give you a call sometime.

Anyway, I suggested just unplugging the control box so you wouln't have to unhook the battery & loose your radio memory and all that.

It takes a MUT-III to do that. 93+ SRS units are designed to turn the light off if there isn't a problem. Disconnect your battery and check your connections. The SRS unit does have a capacitor to give it energy for several seconds after the battery is disconnected. With my 92 I left the door open for a week (vacation) and drained the battery. I guess this drained the capacitor in the SRS unit and registered a fault. I didn't have a manual then so I didn't know the (92 only) key trick. Reneer charged me $75 for the reset.

So it should be checking my connections(airbag system) all the time then? That's why the SRS light flickers on and off in some cars. Then it must be the passenger side airbag connection from when I replaced the gauges. I'll have to check that this weekend. not looking forward to going back in there. Damn plastic connectors.
You are 100% correct about the logger not checking anything about the airbags. Brandon hooked his logger up to my car at the cruise, and it showed nothing about the airbag.
