I know this board has been dead for quite some time, but it is time we sell our VR4.Rare much sought after 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4. The NADA book lists it at $19,900 as a classic car price. Awesome and fun to drive. Every option available. Everything works. Runs, shifts and drives strong. Air blows cold, sunroof works no leaks. We are the third owners and bought this in North Dakota in 2000 and it's never seen a winter nor been smoked in and always been adult owned, so never been raced, as most of these VR-4's were raced. This is a 6 speed manual transmission. It's got AWD, all wheel steering, active aero rear spoiler and front air dam, twin turbo, CAI, 325 HP. It has 126,000 miles. Only mods whatsoever is a CAI and a blow off valve, otherwise car is stock. We have the original air intake. The only real issue we've had in the 19 years we've owned it is replaced the alternator 2 years ago, and a head gasket leak probably 10 years ago. The heads were sent in and checked over and were undamaged so that was good. Just an expensive repair job if I remember right. We just took it in last month for a clutch slave cylinder replacement, as it was leaking due to sitting over the winter months, in which we always store it. There is an engine dress up kit on it. It runs and shifts great. The active aero works. Good year Eagles put on at 113,000 miles, so only 13,000 miles on tires. Only issue is there is an abs light that comes on as soon as you drive it that we had checked out a few years ago and they looked at it and we were told it was a touchy sensor and the brakes and abs system are working totally fine. After they looked at it, the light went out for a day or two, but then it came back on, so we just lived with it, knowing the system was ok. This is my wife's summer car and she only drives it back and forth to work. (She's over 50 and she doesn't beat it and never has). I don't think it's gone over 90 mph more than once since we've owned it. When the head gaskets were replaced, I had them replace the timing belt and water pump, since they were already that deep into it, at 101,000 miles in 2006. So she's only driven the car 25,000 miles in the last 13 years. Have most of the paperwork, even from North Dakota where they replaced the whole transmission under warranty because of some defect recall back in the day, before we bought it. ****PLEASE**** Serious inquiries only. If you want to drive it, I will be going with you. Too many people just want to take cars like this and run them through the gears. Asking $13,000 but no reasonable offer will be refused and price is negotiable. Located between Wausau and Mosinee WI 54455 email me if interested or for pics....
