I have a 25 spline transfer case and transmission out of my 93 vr4. i bought new ones to replace them after i snapped the output shaft for the transfer case. The transfer case needs the new shaft, but otherwise seems solid. The 5 speed transmission worked fine in the car, but second and third gear synchros are on their way out. My 16Gd car running 15 psi would cause them to grind going into their respective gears at high RPMs during spirited driving. Otherwise the transmission is sound. Both items have ~125K on them. Id just like both of them gone. i figure 400 for the pair and 300 for just the transmission. local pick up would be nice, ill meet you up to 50 miles away if you wish too. Ill get pics posted in acouple days after i clean up the parts and make them look presentable. Joe

Joe If the transfercase is the big bearing one I would be, because I have an extra spool for a big bearing one. But otherwise if its the small bearing one, I'd just want the tranny. If you want to give me a call when you post pics my cell is 612-747-9o61. thanks

I talked to dan who is very knowledgeable with these parts, as he rebuilds them. both are only good for core rebuilds due to the work they need. SO the first person to offer me 100 bucks can take them both as cores.

One possibility I might consider would be to go to your area and pic yours up and also the other one that is for sale in madison, it'd be more worth the trip if I was able to pick up two cores instead of just one being I'm about 5 hours away. I'll let you know in the next day or two.
