I have this big bov and I'd like to use it but spring is very stiff. so can I just cut it or... ?

I don't have any experience with BOV's, but you might be able to heat it up to soften the spring. Cutting a spring will make it more stiff.

yeah, I know it should be stiff, but it doesn't want to open under 10 psi
I have a feeling that its way too stiff.

Yeah, that's a bit stiff. Is it shimmed? (as in are there washers inside the bov?)

ok, I found out what bov I have. its knock-off (I think) Tail Bov 50mm my brother gave it to me. and that a 11lb spring. so I need 9lb spring, but new one is $40, so I'm gonna try heating it up and slowly cool it down. it hat doesn't help, than I'm buying a new one.
