Keep your eyes open for a Lincoln LS. Prefer dark colors and would like the sport package (Auto with select shift, 17 alloy rims, dual exhaust, V8) Probably a 200-2003, low the price the better.
The VR4 will go into storage soon and want to find an LS as my winter car. My old winter car 93 Grand Prix has just about had it and I don't want to put any money into it.
Thanks!!
Kyle

Do a search on these, think you'll want as late as possible (2003).
IIRC, a buddy of mine had a early one and many issues, but the later ones were "fixed."

I have a friend who was at the Green Bay auction today and a 2002 with 97K miles went for $5400. He drove it said it was in nice shape. Only problem is that it had a air bag light on. Not sure how much that could cost to fix. Probably why it went so low. I had told him to go to $6K on it but I think he didn't think I was serious. Anyway I guess I will just have to go to the auction with him next time. It's surprising to see how much these cars go for still.
What issues did your friend have? Transmission?
Kyle

Well I just found a 2002 Lincoln LS, LSE package ( all the ground effects, exhaust, etc) Pretty fair price, $73000 miles and well maintained. I just wanted a sport model LS with high miles as a winter beater and ended up this. I will pick it up this weekend outside of Madison. Also getting a set of rims and winter tires with the deal. Nice. That looks almost exactly like my car.

Hey Kyle, since you'll be coming through the area this weekend, why don't you meet up with us before/during/after the cruise we have?

Not sure if I will be able to meet up. Maybe??? It's a 4 1/2 hour drive for me to get to Mt Horeb to get the car. Bad part is that my kids have swimming lessons until noon and they we will leave directly from there. Hopefully get there around 4:30-5:00, try not to stay too long and then head back home. So it will end up being about 10:00 -11:00 before we get back home if were lucky. Mother-in-law is gone on trip so it will be the me, wife and 2 kids (5 & 7). So I have a feeling I might not be able to meet up. When I get this car on the road I will then put the VR4 into storage for the winter. I will have to get both cars detailed up and take a picture of them together. Here is a picture of my other driver. Got it for free from a friend who took it out of his business. The monitor was dead and he didn't want to deal with it. Just got the board fixed for $95 so it should be up and running when the board arrives. I know the kids will love it. It will go good with the rest of the collection of games, (14+ old Video games and 8 pinball machines) Not much room left in the basement. Someday when I get the basement finished I will have to have a "Unoffical get together" Note: I finally painted the garage floor with the epoxy paint. Wow what a difference. I wish I did it years ago. Kyle
