I recently upgraded to a new MacBook Pro so I'm selling my 2 year old MacBook. This computer has been nothing short of awesome for me. It's the best investment I've made.
Recently, it developed a problem when booting, it would not boot all the way up, just sat there and processed. I took it to the Mac store, they put in a new *bigger* hard drive under warranty and now it's completely fresh. I haven't even set up the OS yet, it's ready for the new owner to put in all their information.
Here's the lowdown:
Purchased June 25, 2006 for $1100
White MacBook, Base Model
13.3" Screen
1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo
512 MB RAM
80GB Hard Drive (Brand New)
Combo Drive (CD Burner NOT a DVD Burner)
I also had the top case replaced under warranty because it developed some weird discolorations where my palms would rest. They said it was a common issue with the first generation MacBooks and replaced it for free. So the whole keyboard and the plastic trim around it and around the screen are brand new.
There are absolutely no dead pixels, the screen is immaculate. This computer will perform like it's brand new, there are absolutely NO ISSUES. This is not like buying a VR4
The best part is that I've already upgraded OSX to Leopard, so you get all the new features and the latest operating system available.
In case you're worried about switching from PC to Mac, this one will run
Windows also (which I did). You just need to download a program called Boot Camp from Apple, and you can load a copy of Windows XP to it so you can choose each time you boot which operating system you want to run. I will also include a clean copy of Windows XP for a bit extra if you want it.
The computer will include the charger, a bluetooth remote, all the original discs and manuals, and a mini DVI to VGA adapter so you can hook the computer up to an LCD TV or external monitor. If I find anything else I have for it, I'll include that too. The computer also comes with the ability to make you cooler. Everyone knows how cool you are when they see you using a Mac. So if you have problems making friends or attracting the ladies, pick this up, it's an instant fix.
The only thing that's not completely awesome about this computer is that the outside case has normal wear from 2 years of being toted to class. There are, however, no obvious markings on it, so it's really not noticeable.
All this could be yours for the bargain price of $750 OBO
If you have ANY questions on the computer, or Macs in general, feel free to ask.
