Forgive the long thread-this is a car for sale!!
I bought this car off of Ebay ~5 months ago. I "bought it now" for 6k; it was in Las Vegas. I now have $8k into it and have driven it about 1,000 miles. (almost 200 just to get it home) It runs well, however, the ebay seller seemed to have forget to mention a few details. I do not have time/money to make this car what it should be.
The car was salvaged in '92. I do not know why. WI title in my hands is clear.... Autocheck says clear/carfax says salvage.
Here is what I have done:
New Y-pipe; New Kenwood CD player; New rear Pioneer 6x9s; Fixed shifter linkage ~300 stealership; Got taillights working ~300 stealership; New air filter; New power antenna
Here is what it needs:
Tint removed on rear window. Tranny needs a rebuild-grinds going into 3rd & 4th and when downshifting to 2nd. A/c worked 1st day I had it... hasn't worked since. One of the windshield washer lines is gone/one works (just missing a hose.) Rear wiper doesn't work. ECS is stuck in Sport Mode. Car has N/A gauge cluster in it. (mileage appears to still be correct based on carfax & autocheck) Cruise doesn't work. It smells like oil when turbos kick in. Interior door panels could be replaced....I have new door carpet. The paint is not perfect-both rear quarter panels need some help. (Drivers side needs repaint and passenger needs some touch-up.) I tried to get it in the pictures but you can barely see it. Rear bumper on drivers side needs to be attached more securely-look by taillight. Rear tires need replacing soon. Car is running on wastegate boost because I can't seem to find the hose to hook up factory boost controller. The controller was missing when I bought it.
This could be a great ride if the right person picks it up. The tranny work is the main issue I have trouble doing myself. I wasn't told there was any issues with it when I bought it. Make an offer!!
I can help with transport. I am willing to drive 10 hours with paid $500 deposit + plane ticket back. Send some pms. I can also drop off for transport if needed. I am in Manitowoc, WI.
I really need this car gone. I attempt to include every minor detail. It may seem minute or too much to read but I hate having unknowns.
