My radio in my vr4 is toast, I'm not familiar with the radio options in those gens. Anyone have a working version of the "upgraded" version of the radio in those cars but still stock? I am not interested in an aftermarket radio. Looking for the best working stock radio I can get.

I think I have one laying around. It has the eq, tape deck, with a connection for a 6 disc changer. I think I even still have the changer too if you need it. Lemme check and I'll get back to you with a pic or 2.
pm me your email address for the pics

6 disc changer option, funny. Where did the factory used to mount that at? I'm interested in whatever you have if it works. Mine shorted out. I can't let go of my steering wheel controls though. My e-mail is right in my profile. A923KGT wrote: I think I have one laying around. It has the eq, tape deck, with a connection for a 6 disc changer. Aaron, you find that radio or should I start scrounging around in junk-yards some more?

am/fm cassette radio with graphic eq - check 6 disc changer - check
if you want the disc changer, check under the carpet between the rear seats and the rear strut brace. you should find a cable end there. if so, the cd changer and radio can be installed in 15 minutes.
if you're interested I will bring it to the UMG with the rear bumper.

I'll look. Bring them for sure, how much were you thinking you wanted for both? I don't really need the cd changer but it would be cool as a novelty.

Sounds good to me, if you don't mind, I'll install them right there at the UMG and make sure they both work but if they do I'll take them. Thanks for digging this stuff out for me. Working on these 3000's is beginning to be like assembling a puzzle. A923KGT wrote: Ok, I'm bringing the radio, changer, and bumper cover. How's $80 sound for the changer and the head unit? It's this setup right here. http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php ... ht=changer

I just found out that since my car is a 1st gen I need an amp that usually resides under the passenger seat. If you happen to read this, or someone else does that has your number and could call you for me, and if you have that stock amp, can you throw that in your car too. If not, I'll figure something else out.

The radio is from a first gen, so there's no amp, but a hookup for one is on the back of the radio IIRC.

Cool because there was a debate here last night about the system and they thought yours was the infinity system or something.

Aaron, I'm an idiot, I forgot that that cd changer would fit perfectly in my 92 SL, identical radios. I should have grabbed it from you.
I would still like the bumper and the changer.
Anyone or any combination of people in Milwaukee want to help me get these items to the ferry in the next couple months? The tards on the lake express won't let me have someone just put the bumper on the ferry, it has to be accompanied.
Alternatively I'll have to see about coming to the official, unofficial Green Bay gathering with the mini-mits and maybe working something out.
Alternatively Alternatively I could get it during the nationals, but I don't know if you want to drive all that way with a bumper in your car Aaron or if you are even planning on attending.
Just throwing some feelers out there, let me know.
Bret

I still need to get over the Milwaukee direction to pick up a tranny. So if someone is willing to be the middle man in our trafficking effort, let us know and I'll work out a time with you to meet up.
Maybe the GB gathering could work or I could get it to a Milwaukee guy for you to pick up on your way back home.
Maybe Maybe someone with a truck and trailer could bring it to the NG?
Aaron
