xh6, I thought I would find you here, I took a look at the pics, and would like to take a look at the Stealth sometime. What is the expected cost to replace / rebuild (if possible) the engine. I am a former VR4 owner and know these cars pretty well, but have not had the reason or opportunity to actually work on them. Mine was brand new in '91, so all I really did was drive it. How available would a good engine be. Thanks, railshot

A923KGT, Thanks for the welcome and information (e-bay links). Ideally I am looking for a Steath R/T "Luxury" ie automatic, so the wife could drive it occasionally. I had many problems with my VR4 when I had it. Spent six months of the year at the dealer for recalls, and a mysterious vibration between 55 and 58 mph, that they could never fix. I do miss it dearly though.

Just a quick comment because the above quote makes it sound like you're looking for the Luxury trim because Luxury = automatic. You probably know this, but there are plenty of R/T (non-Luxury) Stealths out there that are automatic and there are also Luxury models out there that are 5-speed. Just so your vehicle search isn't more narrow than it needs to be....

LOL, thanks for the clarification on that. It has been a while, but yes I am looking for a Luxury edition. I did not know (until today) you could get a non-turbo, 5spd R/T and the Luxury interior. I would consider either a 5spd, or an automatic as long as it is a non turbo R/T with the Luxury interior. I don't want a twin turbo awd, aws, etc. Had it already and rarely used it.

I think $30 is a good price.
Where are you located? Not sure when I'll have time to pick it up.

I'm 70ft. outside of muskego, about 20 min. from milwaukee. On mapquest it shows your about a 2 hour drive away... So if your THAT interested in it be my guest and give me a call whenever. Otherwise maybe we can work out a deal on meeting somewhere... Call me if your still interested.
