Back in September the car went down with a lot of clattering.
I finally pulled it apart.
The crank is craked in half. THE ENGINE SPINS FREE....
NO bent rods . Thrust bearing spun, End bearings
showing hint of copper(notspun), Spun bearings in the middle.
Car has 15,000 on this new rebuild, reworked heads ,
new oil pump , new h20 pump , new crankshaft and pistons
60 k stuff done. No other mods.
Why would this happen?
Does the engines 91-92 have problems with breaking
cranks?

I have a snapped 91-92 sitting in my garage, had 140k on it and seen 6psi most of its life.

Let me remind you this is a new crank supposedly.
only15 k on it. Normal set up for the ride regular 9b
turbos at normal boost.???????????

Glad your starting to get working on it. With the limited amount of snow on the ground spring can come fast. Hurry up and get it back together and running.

Thanks Bunk for the e-mail on Cody .
Talked to his Uncle on Saturday and He said some one has
all ready offered 750 $ for the car to part it out!
I know for sure it's got a new starter.
Looks like I am going to be looking a a new short block It's just were
is the best deal.
Soo far I may have to use one of the Mitsu dealers in Milwaukee
or Madison and get my 20% discount.
So travel will be involved.

no picking up a loose 3.5 liter, bore and stroke it to 4.5 liter, and getting huge turbos? I thought that's what blowing an engine was all about... I can't wait until mine goes.
