My A/c was totaly disconnected so that the engine could be worked on before I got it. Any rough guesses on how much this could cost? Should I get it converted over to the NEW refidgerant that's out there or stick with the old. I hear the old is pretty costly? Tim

R12 is rediculously expensive now. Best to get your system converted. All that's required is new seals around the hoses.
Now would be the time to replace your AC compressor if it's making noises too.
