Stole this idea from Bryan from a post I saw on his board eons ago.
Curious to know what's on everyone's winter project list for their car? Realistic upgrades and mods only please, not what you'd do if you won the lottery, hehe, but things you honestly plan on doing before springtime hits. (This is also a cheap way for me to see what VR4-Maniac all has in the works, lol.) Actually, this will work as a nice checklist for all the things you plan to do.
PHASE #1 1. Install new Konig Villian 17x9 rims 2. Take off rotors and take to Napa for turning 3. Paint brake calipers red (Supercar Engineering - this place rocks) 4. Install new Axxis Ultimate street pads and purchase Panther XP track pads for Road America in April 5. Install new 2 piece CFDS (the 1 piece unit was sent back due to vibration) 6. Drain engine coolant and flush - add water wetter 7. Install my Tiens lowering springs in front and rear 8. Install rear control arms for camber adjustment 9. Install polished aluminum radiator cover (possibly get chrome option) 10. Polish the water neck 11. Polish the front heat shields over manifold 12. Powdercoat lower intake manifold 13. Polish injector resistor pack 14. Polish solenoid bracket holder on firewall 15. Polish AC bracket holder on firewall 16. Remove purge control valve 17. Install DN intake hardpipes from MAS to turbos 18. Install polished upper engine motor mount 19. Get about 15-20 other miscellaneous brackets/parts polished and powder coated... Too numerous to list. 20. Install new PCV valve 21. Powdercoat rear valve cover 22. Install ek2 fuel rail adapter 23. Install polished SS radiator pipe 24. Install new 3SX lightweight crank pulley
PHASE #2: 1. Drop transmission and get my 3rd gear problem assessed and fixed. 2. Track down and fix engine coolant leak (possible head gaskets)
I think that's a wrap. The goal is to have it all done before the Road America gathering in April.

1) Tires. 2) Buy a couple factory keyless remotes.
...all I can afford right now.
I'd like to do some powder coating of a few engine parts, but I want to buy all new gaskets. Also want to buy all new black face greddy gauges to replace all the stock ones in the center console + another EGT.

if all goes to plan, test pipe, springs, struts, chamber arms, and then some 18" rims. That or I might buy a guitar instead

I just got mine, so I've got a big pile of parts sitting in the basement a'waitin for me to get some time to put 'em on. 1) Race cat (gut precats) 2) Greddy Profec B spec boost controller 3) relocate turbo timer to DIN slot as part of (4) 4) New Stereo (just deck and speakers for now, pioneers all around w/alpine deck). Replace lower DIN slot with Combo EBC, Turbo timer, EGT gauge. (got a custom carbon fiber cutout from Powertrix) 5) install A-pillar boost gauge 6) Corbeaus. TR-1's. Perhaps the most anticipated mod. 7) Tint look at thousands of pictures of wheels, and possibly finally buy something 9) figure out what the heck is wrong with my wastegates 10) pedals and reverse indiglos 110 eagerly anticipate April.

Well, there were about 70 things on my to-do list this winter...but here are a few:
remove unnecessary vaccuum lines do 99 conversion (that's a biggie) install precat elims remount all interior aftermarket stuff paint stock wheels gunmetal clean up significantly under hood install FMIC and piping clean plenum with wire brush (orbital)
Obviously these are only a few of the many, but I'm hoping the car will be unrecognizeable to most everyone around....have a good one!
The problem is that I'm running out of funding from the summer, and have a lot of 99 conversion still to do....I'm concerned I won't be satisfied with my car for the Speed Seekers event in April....I am skeptical as to whether I will be making it in time.
Matt

Matt - you're not allowed to miss 3 W3SI events in a row. Mandatory attendance for you buddy! Don't make me get our my clipboard!
Gunmetal wheels? You just bought those 19" rims!
If you dont get close to finishing in time, we'll just have to have to get everyone to cruise up there on a weekend and give you a hand with all the installs, lol.

My94r/t wrote: OH, and Matt, you HAVE to come to Road America!! Thanks guys, I feel the love. Honestly, the car is pretty tore down, there's a ton of work to do, and if I don't get my butt in gear during christmas break (starting today) I won't have it done in time. I'm definently unsure on the racing part of Road America, but if I can piece the car together well enough, I'd go down as a spectator and a cheerleader See you guys when the snow melts! Matt

Tim, Keep us updated on that list, that's a lot of projects, yikes. Sounds like it'll keep you occupied for a long time. hehe. At least I don't have any munchkins running around... most of my time is free to put into my car when I need to. For now.
