My partner is giving up on our spray on chrome business. His excavating business has really taken off, and he's making the big bucks now. So he has no time for this any more. Unfortunately, he also has the paint booth, and I'm completely broke. So we decided to sell the kit. For more information, go to www.sprayonchrome.com/equipment.html We have the LI System with enough materials to do just under 500 square feet. This whole kit was just over $3000. Everything is barely used. The process is pretty simple and the equipment is very easy to use, especially if you have experience painting. What's nice about Spectra Chrome is it can be applied to almost any surface. If you were at the UMG, I was showing off a few of the test pieces we did. I was hoping to use the kit for chrome plating factory emblems, timing belt covers, and rims. There is definitely a market out there for this kind of service. I'm keeping the gold platting kit though so I will still be offering that service. We'd like to get $2000 shipped for everything. I would prefer local pickup though because shipping hazardous materials can be a pain. Please shoot me a PM if you're interested. Post here with questions.

Hi, I found the site at http://www.sprayonchrome.com. What surface preparation is required? I did not see anything mentioned on their site. Have the coating containers been opened? Is an air compressor included with what you are selling? thanks

Sorry, no air compressor. I'm sorry, I posted their old web address. www.sprayonchrome.com is the correct one. Surface prep is much like paint prep. Primer isn't required unless you are doing very porus plastics. Our car emblems are already primered so all you have to do is sand them with 400 grit then apply the base coat. A 400 grit finish is pleanty fine for this chroming process. However, the timing belt covers would need to be sanded and primed for example. Of coarse, you must degrease everything, and it's important that you wear latex gloves as even the oils from your finishers will show up in the finish. If you're interested, you can view the sample video on their site, or I have the actual training video. Let me know!

Hi, My friend was not interested, but I may be. Do have a part you sprayed that I could check out? I read the web site it gave some basic information about rust resistance, a scratch test and a 140 lb impact test. I still would like to check a part out. Do you have something smallyou could send? Rick

Yes I do. It's damaged from me "putting it thru the test" but only on one edge. It's the only test piece I have left and everyone who has inquired about the kit asked for a test piece.
If you'd like, we should schedual a time to get together, I can show you everything, as well as the training video.
I was showing a few test pieces off at the UMG. Everyone who I showed them to commented on how nice they looked.

Donno if you got my last PM or not, but right now they're sitting at the DHL facility in your town...
I called them and asked them to return them to me. When they get back, PM you for an address confirmation.
