Well, I crawled under the stealth this weekend to take a look at the tranny leak. It's not the axle seals. So it's got to be something else...
Now, is it the seal inside the tranny, because one would think that would only leak through the weep hole at the bottom of the transmission, right where it attaches to the engine. mine is leaking somewhere else. possibly where it mates to the engine, or perhaps a crack somewhere on the upper front half of the transmission.
Also, the rear oil return line has the slightest oil leak. Not suprising. that little f***tard gasket fought me during the turbo swap like nobodies business.
So I think I'm gonna call this year done for the stealth, bring it out by my uncles, and get a set of headers made up. With all the crap out of the way I'll be able to see if there is a crack on the tranny of not, and if there is he can weld aluminum.
Looks like my car fun is done for the summer. unless you count fabrication. then the fun is just starting...
wish me luck.

You're not even slightly curious of what your car can do at the track with your current setup and a clutch that can now hold the power?

not really.
If I was worried about that I'd have been running it the minute the clutch got broke in. plus, I don't think with tranny lube all over a brand new clutch (and flywheel) it will hold... something to think about.
I'll let you prove the DR500s. I'm try something new. and the funny thing there is I probably won't push the new set up rediculously hard either.
Beating the hell out of a car at the 1/4 is what I'm selling the jag for.

I actually laughed loud enough that my boss asked what was up when I read that... I've gotta get the car out to matt's and back, I'd rather not do that on a flatbed just yet. I'll let you know when the headers start, as that is the "point of no return" for me. Then it's all yours. I personally think that your whole one thing at a time philosophy could still work here, just keep the ECU, injectors, emanage, and swap headers and turbos => turbo. then re-tune to make sure everything is copa-setic. then go standalone. If I bust my ass that could probably still happen before snow...

How are you going to make the turbo work with the stock MAS? Wouldn't it be funny if he registers here and starts posting replys?

airfilter -> stock mas -> funky silicone adaptor -> turbo inlet
you can figure out the rest I'm sure. It's not like it will be a permant setup, just something to take the headers/turbo combo out for a spin.
then pull the tranny off, and get AEM.
I think a compression check is in order, but if that holds up, I think I'll put off the rebuild 'til I blow the little b***h up.
then go nuts.

What will we need an airfilter for? Yeh, if you keep the same injectors, I shouldn't have to tweak too much with the e-manage. Realistically though, I wouldn't plan on the car being drivable before spring.

No airfilter it is. K&N can eat my ass. Just call my air filter the "meat grinder."

Car is expected to go by Matt's on october 19th. We'll be doing headers, and pulling the front of the car off for an intercooler. We're gonna do steel intercooler piping, and then coat it in nickel. He's got some metal blend picked out for headers that he really likes to work with, but I forget the make up. That will get coated also, but a different coating. (obviously.) My car will actually have a decent exhaust, now. 4" all the way back from the turbo. This means that I'll have to pull my old turbos in the next few days and send them to DR to be redone. Also have to find some sort of front mount that I like. And a tial wastegate. I'm actually fairly excited. this should be a fun project. I'll have his shop for the better part of a month, so I'll be taking my time, and trying to find a way to keep the TB on the passenger side... I'm not sure how that will work, as I see the turbo in the wrong spot all the time in my "visions." I suppose I'll also have to find a trailer for her... Roy, If you read this give me a call. 655.4702 I need to get you some money for your car. and tell you what's up with the jag. I'd call you, but I don't have your phone number...

Haven't touched my car since race day.
It's in Roy's hands to get the server up.
