I gave my friend (the guy whose interested in the Jag) your phone number. He should call you sometime soon.
Kinda hoping you'd go out and beat your 1/4 time before changing setups. Don't really have much to show for all that work so far...

Well it kinda looks like my car may not let me off that easy. Been having a problem lately and I hopped that putting the miles on it this weekend would solve it. It doesnt smoke anymore under normal driving but if you engine brake it down to a stop it smokes like a bitch - kind of a greyish smoke. It goes away after about 15 seconds if you sit there at idle or take off right away. If you come to a stop in neutral its fine. I did some reading on 3si and it seems the 2 most likely culprits are....turbo on its way out or way too much vacuume and its sucking too much oil up.

Did I check for shaft play on the rear turbo at the gathering or was that someone elses car? I don't remember whose I checked, but I remember it was fine.
Just curious, how old is your PCV valve?

Yeah that was my rear turbo. But it could be the front. From what I read the front leaks straight down into the downpipe and that could cause the smoking. The PCV is brand new from the dealer. I'm going go through everything tomorrow and make sure nothing is clogged and check for play on the front turbo. Turbo's were perfectly fine though before the motor went down though.

Greg, what did you do to the wiring? Apparenly my rear running lights are out, I was police escorted back to my house since they were out. That and he said that my headlights were illegal. So did you pull any wires at all i need to fix it.

You have something going on with your wiring man....its all of that damn drumming you do. I went to go turn my lights on last night and the blue led on my dimmer was fried. I would check your fuses first of all.

I didn't do anything with the wiring. Only checked all of the blue 15A fuses in the cab. The one wire I checked was the one tapped behind the dimmer switch, but I rewrapped that one so it wouldn't ground out.
The fuses/relays for the tail lights are in the box under the hood by the air filter.
Mike, do a compression check in the front cyclenders. I know what you're going to say, but this way you know it's not something more serious.

I didn't bring my 92 vr4 (Because I was worried about making it there and back) but I learned a lot by asking a million questions. Thanks to those who answered them And also to the people who supplied beer. And to the drunk bachlorette we met who provided me with the most entertainment all week. I'll be back, possible with a car. Nice meeting you guys. Jason [/b]
