Holy h311, what a fight. Took 2 days off work last week to get the car back together in time for the cookout. Finally finished everything on Friday night. Changed the oil, charged the battery, pumped air in the tires, and fired her up. Started and ran great. Mad lifter tick of coarse, but that quickly went away after a couple miles of driving. Durring the trip home, the car was having some suddering issues. EGT gauge was whacked and when the ECU was in open loop (accelerating with boost), the O2's would go full rich. Figured the issue was the rich tune and the boost controler being tuned off. This thread tells the rest of the story. http://mn3s.zforcenetwork.com/viewtopic.php?t=1241Pics of the car with the new paint job will hopefully be coming soon. I'm sure lots of pics were taken at the cookout. I'll be bringing the car to Green Bay on Friday for the Unofficial "Official GB gathering". The car has been in the paint shop nearly a year, but the quality of the paint job is worth every dollar and every day. I can't help but stare at the car when it's parked in the sunlight. The guy who did the paint job told me this will probably be the last car he will paint which is really too bad because it's hard to find a decent painter who will do this kind of work. Wait till you guys see it. Adam (Guyfry): If you read this thread some time today (Monday), give me a call tonight.

I forgot to hook up the little ground wire for the ECU & PTU. It shares the same ground bolt as the battery. I'll show you what I'm talking about on friday. It's really easy to miss.
Looks like an e-manage may be in my car in the near future...
Jesse & Brian reported the same thing with the RPS MAX in their cars. I think there is something wrong with my vac assist which is probably why my clutch is so heavy. It's STILL isn't disengaging all the way. I'm probably going to have to drop the tranny and put washers on the end of the shift fork. Not looking forward to that...
Ah, the car is living up to her name...

So is it running better then? G-ELL wrote: Looks like an e-manage may be in my car in the near future... Blue or Ultimate? Washers, cool. if you need someone to help bench press your tranny out, I'll be that guy. Friday Photo shoot! I suppose this means I'll have to wash my car.

Blue or ultimate? Depends on which one I can get a deal on. Been reading about how to upgrade the blue to the ultimate by flashing the rom. There's a write-up about it in the e-manage yahoo email group.

Adam,
You have a volt meter correct? I have to test my PTU. Also, can we do a pressure test on my car too this Friday?

I can't wait to see the paint job on Friday. And then we can talk more about my crazy single turbo upgrade ideas.

I hate talking about my fuel controller like a pokemon video game. sorry, I'm better now. But the gold and the ultimate are different animals. the ultimate has an extra plug for the timing wires, and accesory plugs, I thought... Can't remember, as playing with Aaron's is getting further and further in the past. the ultimate also had more dedicated ports for sensors to go to. hmmm. I'm curious as to how this would work.

Greg, That's awesome news man! I'm glad to hear you have it back together and on the road. I wish I could come to the unofficial GB gathering, but my schedule will not allow. I'm broke and I have to cough up $3200 plus books for school this semester... Doesn't the RPS use the stock pressure plate?

Why would you expect it to be stiffer than stock if its using a stock pressure plate?
MY SBC DXD feels stock to me.

The RPS PP has very suddle differences over the stock one. The "fins" are shorter and a little thicker which is why the clutch pedal is stiffer. The outer disk is thicker to make up for the shorter fins.
The RPS disk looks similar to the stock Mitsu one only there's a few changes in the center section. It's more "solid" making the clutch "grabbier".
Kinda hard to describe. I think 3sx has picture of all the clutches on their website along with the stock one.
