Well, after two weekends of working on my car we have changed both the timing belt and the turbos with the engine in the car. I would have never attempted this without expert supervision, and Greg definitely qualified as that. He had tricks of the trade that can only be gotten with experience turning a wrench on these cars. It was honestly like a tech session with a 3/S instructor. He would frequently stop what he was doing to answer questions that I had about what he was up to, or pull me over to show me something that I should be paying attention to while he does it/has me do it to get experience.
He is a credit to this club, we are lucky to have him in the Wisconsin area, and offering his skills for free. If I was Jeff I would be trying to off him...
I feel 100% more confident around my car for sure, because of the time Greg took explaining things to me.
If you ever have the chance to turn wrenches with this man I highly recommend it.
Way to be that guy, Greg. The next beer is on me.
