Help me decide: Should I powder coat my valve cover mirror black or just polish the whole thing  This is sort of what it will look like if I powder coat it mirror black: http://www.streetwarengineering.com/pic ... kcover.jpgb.t.w. That valve cover is for sale. _________________ 06 Blue EVO 9

I'm not very big on chrome and polished metals, but I love the look of bright and shiney powdercoatings. So I'd go with the mirror black. Plus its easier to keep looking new.

Here's a pic of mine... had Dave Best powder coat valve cover & plate in Chrome Smoke. Had to be polished first, then powder coated. It's not a bright polished look, nor a glossy painted look... just another idea, I guess.

Yea, Dave's engine bay is the MOTS!
I liked his polished alum radiator cover so much, I went out and bought one myself, haha. I couldn't stand not having one after seeing his setup.
