Is anyone running Solid or Poly Motor Mounts? If so, what do you think of them?
Besides the whimpy rubber stock motor mounts, the only options for us are: Solid Mounts from Maximal Performance for $200 shipped (no core) or Poly Mounts from 3sx for $329+shipping (plus $300 core)
Thanks, Brad

I have solid front and rear with stock sides. Vibration was increased a noticeable amount in the interior of the car. But wheelhop was all but eliminated. I have a feeling once I get my springs in I'll have little or no wheelhop.
I've also driven a car with the 3SX Poly mounts. Less vibration than the solid. Still some wheelhop. Even with stock springs and new struts.
Even with that being said... If i had the money to buy Poly when my stock front mount went, I would have gone poly over solid.
Edit... Just noticed you have a TT. Those were both N/A's. In your case, I'd got Poly. Better looking and less interior resonance.

I have 3sx poly mounts and i like them. The vibration isnt bad at all, i actually like the "feel" that it gave. I got new tires at the same time and have no wheel hop. I have rode in joes car and the vibration wasnt that bad IMO.

After a bit of thought, I decided to get the poly front/rear mounts from 3SX. I'm a little leary about having these DNP headers without poly mounts. I've heard of several incidents where these headers have cracked because they do not use the turbo-stay bracket. And as a result, engine flexing can sometimes put alot of stress on the headers. Figure it's a good idea to minimize that.
Only thing I wont like is the added vibration at idle. I sat in Vettings car at idle. Not what I want. Maybe he has solid mounts tho? Not sure.

Because my compressor housing is so much bigger than stock, I am really concerned about hitting the front motor mount bracket (which is already somewhat cut away for clearance) and hitting the A/C line on the firewall. That is why I am concerned about engine movement. I haven't really heard any bad things about either the solid or the poly mounts. Although it does seem like many more N/A cars are running the solid mounts than turbo cars. This makes me concerned about how the AWD driveline will handle the solid mounts.
After initially leaning toward solid because they would be half the cost (after shipping), but I think I am leaning toward Poly now. I am still unsure if I want to do all four or just the front and rear (which are the most important for our transverse mounted engine). The cost for poly would be $218 for the front and rear compared with $329 for all four (+shipping and core). Are you just doing front and rear mounts Jesse?
WARVR$--Where did you get your poly mounts from?
I wonder what the GTOs in Japan are using for aftermarket mounts?
Brad

Brad, Yeah, I just ordered the front and rear poly mounts from 3SX yesterday. They should be here Tuesday. The sides will be standard stock mounts. There's several people running this way if I recall on 3si.
