Matt Monett of Dynamic Racing just ran a 10.76@133 and has the remainder of the day to try to go faster.
This pass beats Mike Mahaffey's old record of 10.78 in the orange car from Altered Atmosphere.
The interesting this is that this car is doing this on a PIGGYBACK fuel computer and 720 cc injectors.
Matt

Oh My! I'm assuming he has the DR-1000 car back in service. Wish I could have seen it run at the NG.

And remember, this is at over 5000 feet above sea level in new mexico. As well as high air temps. Cant wait to see what he does later with colder air.

The pass was made in Nelson Bernarde's car at ATCO raceway in the northeast somewhere.
The times are correct, this is a new U.S. record. I talked with him on the phone very briefly today and he was very pumped. He said he had to granny shift at low rpm because of a bad 2nd gear synchro and had to launch low because of poor traction (he had to drive through the water) and they never sprayed the nitrous.
The car has a bunch of mods, but runs on the stock short block. They made DOZENS of dyno pulls at over 550 awhp and it still goes strong.
Good night everybody....this has been an exciting day in the 3/S world.
Matt

I read the IDCs were well over 100% and the ARC can't compensate for injectors larger than 720s. I wonder if they ended up raising the FP to help bring them down. The car is very impressive. Wonder what's in store for it next...

Can someone tell me why Matt hasn't went with a full standalone (AEM etc) or larger injectors(1000cc) yet on a car?

Matt likes to keep things simple. I mean, why fix something that isnt broke? All those stand-alone, big TD05 turbo, huge fuel system guys are running what? Exactly.
