Been keeping this under wraps for awhile, but since I've started buying parts already for this venture (my spare bedroom is filling up), I figured I might as well share the details about the Maroon Marauder's upcoming surgical schedule. I'd like to give a quick thanks to Greg (G-Ell) and Matt (VR-4Maniac) for giving me some words of advice as to what upgrade route to go with based on my vision to have a high 11 second street car and all-around show beauty that will dazzle (hopefully) anyone who sees it the first time. Here's the new list of performance mods....... DR500 Turbos (Intake side CermaKrome ceramic coated, Exhaust side Black Satin ceramic coated) DR Ported Lower Intake DR Stage 3 Heads DR Port Matched DNP TD04 Headers (CermaKrome and Race ceramic coated) DNP Precat Eliminators (CermaKrome and Race ceramic coated) Denso 720cc Injectors (might downsize to 660cc) ARC2 w/ 87mm MAF UR Cam Gears RPS Street Max Clutch RPS Lightweight Flywheel IPO Dual Feed Fuel System w/SX AFPR Walbro Pump (Hotwired) 3SX Turbo Oil Feed/Return Lines 3SX Lightweight Crank Pulley Mark Williams 300M Output Shaft HKS EVC IV Melton Downpipe 2.5" Test Pipe Custom Cat-Back PST 2 Piece CFDS Ground Wire Kit PWR Radiator Safety Mods will be......... Greddy EGT Gauge Fuel Pressure Gauge Pocketlogger Cosmetics... same as last year plus: Painting a few things in the engine bay (brackets, transmission bellhousing, etc.) and repainting the ENTIRE engine bay frame in Kutani Red Pearl More polishing in engine bay (throttle body, CAS, etc.) Possibly more powder coating in the engine bay Fancy chromed DNP headers to help with drool-value New 2-tone Seats from Leatherseats.com Now eh... before anyone says, why only DR500s? I'm not much a fan of lag and I got a hell of a deal on the turbos so... Still, the setup should be capable of some impressive numbers if I can drive it correctly at the track. Put it this way, the car will have more mods done to it than what Matt Monnett had on his 11.59 run with a similiar setup. So we'll see. The plus side is, all the mods are bolt-ons. No fab work or anything like that which should speed up the whole upgrade process. Can't wait for the fun to begin. Actually, some of it already has Jesse

holy mod list batman! If you need cheap labor let me know. I'll take on ride on the weekends. I just had DN precat eliminators, DN downpipe, and a straight pipe running to a resinator(cats are lame ) and dynaflow mufflers put on mine. Just that was a noticable difference for me. I will be looking for a boost controller next, and a data logger. And maybe grab some sheet metal and fabricate some sort of cold air box for the new filter.

Wow thats alot of stuff. You should get a bigger test pipe the a 2.5" though. The only thing new on my car next year will be new tires. Hopefully

Sounds like the show car is going to be faster than the track car....

Jon, The show car already is faster than the track car by about 130 ponies, lol. After this winter, it'll be alot faster.
Matt, Yeah, a 3" one would be nice, but I already have a 2.5" test pipe in there so I'll probably just keep it. Dunno. Might swap it out. Depends on my catback system I guess.
Adam, Holy modlist indeed. Lets just hope the actual result is as impressive as the list. PM me about the dynaflow mufflers... I need a custom catback and was wondering what type of mufflers to get.
Brandon, DR800s - NICE. Hopefully they'll live up to the hype they're already getting, hehe. Sounds like a sweet setup tho! The crayon box has come a long way.
Joe, Guilty as charged.

Jesse, I'm glad I could be the little help that I was. Good luck with everything, and know that I'm always here to bounce ideas off of. I hope each of us is happy with next year's setup. Yours sounds as complete as any I've seen/heard.
Who's doing the coating/polishing for you?
Matt

Jesse--Why are you going with the 2 piece CFDS instead of the 1 piece? I think you should add approximate prices to that list just to see how much an 11 second show car would cost. Brad
