Well im back into the 3si world again with this 92 stealth R/T that i traded my 94 buick lesabre for..lol bad thing is that i think it spun a bearing...hey weird me with a spun bearing car i think im up to about 4 now...im wondering what does a collapsed lifter sound like? anything similar? i wanna get this up and running before the gathering...so destruction will begin the sunday for anyone that would like to come and lend a hand! i will get some better pictures up tom when i can acctually see but overall the car is really clean interior doesnt even have the normal seat wear and it came with the original floor mats i got a huge pile of matience records with it as well...so come lend a hand and help me get this damn thing running!

lol yeah same here but its kinda fun to get some friends together for some working on some cars..helps you catch up on those you dont talk to all that much..

how i spent my thrusday night....got tired of beating noobs in COD5 so went out and did this im determined to get this back up and running by possibly may 9th for kelly's bleachers event if anyones going...but for sure by the gathering for sure...

Ok I got everything apart and cleaned ordered a new bearing set but no one has a oil pump anyone get one laying around? I would rather do new then put my old pump back on..

Does anyone have any helpfull hints on how to get the cam gears off? I tried and I heated up I've tried a few things and still nothing...

I couldn't get the center bolt out but last night ended up getting it but thanks...hopefully it will be running by Sunday

ok so i have a question...now i been looking up on how to do this and what not and have redone this belt 4 times now....im doing the timing and got everything set where it should i spin the crank around everything still lines up like it should but when i put the motor back in the car it loosened up and was really lose turned the crank and it got tight again..not sure what to do is the tensioner gonna make everything tighter once i make a couple rotations with it? im gonna pull the plugs tom and turn it a few times...i just dont wanna mess this timing issue up and would like to make it to the gethering in one peice..so any help would be appreciated! thanks

Did you get a new tensioner? I have had one go bad on me. It did similar crap. Also, how tight are you setting it. the tensioner pulley should look like a face almost. *_* Similar to that, I guess. Where do you live again? Maybe someone could stop by. I may have some free time this weekend, but I'm still helping a friend put an intercooler on his 300zx.

I live in south Milwaukee....the tensioner is new should I loosen it so the so it pushes the tensioner pulley out more? I think my smiley face is off I might have it to tight cause I went past a smile
Ps I'm about 2.5-3 hours away

Ok now I go my timing marks right but still can't make a full rotation with the crank...comments?? I'm starting to go nuts.....

I have come to the conculsion that I'm a moran and in 4 hours still haven't got the belt on.... >:( i'm gonna try yet again tom morning...anyone wanna give me a hand just to set the belt once that's done you can leave someone help before I toss a brick through the windshield...

Ok someones gotta have a answer to these questions....are the starters the same in a auto and man? Also I have this little electric wire its just a wire with a looka like a speaker clip by my intake by the mass air flow it looks like it should hook up to something but don't see anything could that affect my starter from not working? Ps got the motor in and it's running great!! It will make it to the gathering as long as I fix this starter issue...
