For me to just part out my stealth. I've been fighting to not do this for a long time, but I just can't take it anymore. As most of you know, I've been having so many issues with my car, problem after problem, and getting screwed over big time. I'm finally ready to give up on it now. The past few days I've been slowly working on my car just to get it to run, but there's way more work to do on it before it would be ready to hit the roads. Well earlier today when I was hooking up the battery, it started arcing / sparking alot. Never seen it do that before, except for a times times. So I proceed to turn the key to the on position, nothing happens. I go back and mess around with the connection to the battery and all of a sudden my passenger side running headlight turns on. I think the driver side is blown out, but can't remember. As i go to the inside of the car, the headlight switch is off, and the key is in the off position. As i turn the key to the on position, my one radiator fan kicks in, the fuel pump doesnt kick in, and my climate control doesnt work. That's just what i noticed at the time and with the car being like this, I didn't wanna start it. Shortly later, smoke starts coming out by the ecu. I quickly pull the connectors to the battery. That's when it really hit me to just give up. I waited for about ten fifteen minutes then went to pull the ecu. When i was unplugging the connectors to the ecu, I didn't notice any foul play with the wires. Took out the ecu and checked the internals and everything looks normal, no signs of burning or anything like that. I haven't touched any of the under in that area since last time when it did run. Maybe the fire that happened last year in the engine bay fried up alot more then I thought. As of right now, I'm not 100% sure if I want to just part it out and be done with these cars for good yet or not. I am about 99% sure I wanna go this route, but don't know if I do yet or not. Just been through too much with my stealths and wasted a lot of time and money on it. This is my current stage and I'll update it once i figure out what route I want to go.

Engine bay fires can ruin a lot. It doesn't help that it has sat so long. Get to work twinkle! It is definitely worth the work. Seeing the car in person, I know that you have passion for this platform. It may take a bit to make it work, but parting out the car will not be fun. Let me know if you start parting it though.. I may need a few things (or the whole car.)

I heard those turbo spool nice strong. lol. Mike already has his mind set on his gauges... He's just waiting... lol.

Engine bay fire? wow. I have been out for a while.
Did you go through everything? All it takes is a few wires in a harness somewhere to really start f*cking everything up man.
As far as to part out or not, that's all in your court big guy.
I know that as I am fitting this stupid f*cking radiator in my car, and looking at every car including a freaking four door cadilac coming off the line with over 500 horsepower, I just don't feel the need d*ck around with my stealth for much longer.
I could easily be in a corvette, caddy, or a way meaner and nastier benz.
It's just alot of work to not only hold the ground already there, but also find new spots to eek out five more horsepower when I could just go buy something that not only has more power, but also a warranty.

Yeah, but then you're going to want to mod that so you either got to come up with some stealthy mods, or find a warranty that will honor mods. ..yes you are going to mod it because stock is never good enough.

When you throw anything resembling a folgers can on our cars you are already labeled. Also, much like the skylines with the black boxes that radio back to base the second you mod them, I think that is the way the industry is heading. Not to mention I think for the last ten years or so performance enthusiasts have had enough pull to get some bad@$$ cars right from the factory, so modding wasn't quite as neccesary. Well see if it continues. Not to mention that we often talk of cars with 1000 horsepower, but almost none of us get that high. When you get on the gas and tires are breaking loose and the steering wheel starts doing all sorts of weird sh*t, you start to wonder if maybe you are about as fast as you want to go. I know my car has hit that point. Or maybe I'm just getting old and I'm not fun anymore.
