So I finally hooked up the HHH to the 92 TT. That damn CEL was code 31-Detonation. BTW- it is a completely stock car.
Every thread I've seen, people just say to replace the knock sensor. Most of these people are getting readings 7-8-9 across the board. I have 0 at idle, about 10 at 2k revving in neutral. It trips the CEL when I'm WOT over 4k rpms - driving @ full boost. (I haven't logged that yet so I'm not sure of the knock count)
Basically I want to know:
Does it sound like a bad sensor? What else causes knock? WHAT should I do next?
Thanks you sirs.

Lots of stuff causes knock, but you definitely have a loose/bad sensor. If it's rattling around, it'll show false knock readings.
