John picked up another '95 TT on Tuesday, for $5k. It will be his DD. (His other '95 TT is only driven in the summer.) His previous DD was a '95 Blazer. I will be getting that, so I can park my '96 R/T in the winter. (I have been driving it year-round for almost 4 years).
The "new" car is Blue Pearl, only 41 made in '95. 35 made in '94, making the TOTAL number of 2G TTs in Blue Pearl 76. It is the 4th rarest color for 2G TTs.
It has almost 134k miles. It was repainted at some point. Very few rock chips. The usual door dings on the pass side and a dent in the hood from a deer hitting it. The dent was popped out, cracking/chipping the paint. The interior is mint. Only 1 cracked dash vent.
As for options, it's very stripped down. Cloth seats, 17 inch rims, no sunroof. It even has glass headlights. Which suck.......
It has a kormax rebuilt tranny and spec stage 2 clutch, both with under 1,000 miles on them. K&N cone filter, MBC, short shifter, turbo timer.
It needs new tires and an alignment. There is oil in the spark plug holes, so it is going to our mechanic on Saturday to get the valve cover gaskets and spark plugs replaced. And he will do a once over; compression test, checking brakes, fluids, rear diff, driveshaft ect.
