So I noticed this the other day. I shift into a new gear at a lower rpm and put my foot on the gas. The car will then proceed as normal until it starts to jitter and bog. Then it will go back to normal for a bit and do the same thing, jitter and bog... It feels like it's not getting any power. Has anyone else had this problem, anyone know what it could be? Anyone in GB with a idea who wouldn't mind taking a look at it for me.
My pops thought it might be the fuel filter but we put one in and it didn't help. I though it did at first, but once the car warmed up a bit the same problem happened.
Anyone with an idea please let me know asap. Hopefully this won't be a bitch to fix.

Have the plugs ever been replaced?

Yes, early this summer. I'll give that a check.
It's a whole new problem compaired to my old IAC prob (which still happens from time to time). When this happens it doesn't like necessarily bog down. But the whole car just seems to jossle and shake violently.

How old is your fuel filter? Any holes in your exhaust?

Fuel filter was replaced. The old one was dirty but nothing that would hinder it to this degree. Nope, no holes since I bought a new 'used' y-pipe.
I'll be checking the plugs and possibly doing a complete overhaul depending on how that goes. The friend that owned it before me said it might also be a timing issue. He said it felt like there was a cylinder that wasn't firing.

I found out today that not only is my car burning oil but antifreeze as well... So, it might be time to look for a new car (not that I want to). I don't really feel like getting an econo car. I would like to find a base model 94' DOHC but I'll end up dealing with the same problems over again. Not that I mind at all, it's worth it to drive these cars. Just the fact that these cars cost money and that's something I'm short on...
Anyone interested in a first gen project car?

Figured it out... My friend that owned it before me put some spark plug wires on that weren't the greatest of quality. My dad finally removed the spark plugs after some resistance. Then we put new spark plugs and wires and she's good to go. She drives like a champ now. Almost like brand new, heh. On to the next problem!

More BS...
Ok, so after some more problems I put a new cap and rotor on. No luck, she still likes to dog until about 3k rpms, then she jumps to accelerate. I've replaced everything to do with the spark plugs, new fuel pump, fuel filter, injector cleaner and heat in the winter. I'm still having a problem. My check engine light keeps turning on and off. The problem happens whether the light is on or off. I was wondering if anyone had some garage time so I could bring my car over, hook it out and find out the error codes. Anyone? Would rather not take it to a shop right now, money's tight, as usual.
