So besides the calipers and rotors I bought what else am I going to need to do my TT front brake conversion? The mounting holes for the caliper are in different spots. I guess that's a reminder to research before you buy. Anyhow, has anybody ever seen these adapters before? http://autoascension.com/product.aspx?ProductID=1Is it safe to use something like this?

You need the whole hub/knuckle assembly. Now, I don't remember, but are you still running the 92 axles? If so, they won't work in the TT hubs.
Easiest way to do the swap is get a TT assembly with an ABS sensor that way you don't need to deal with pulling it as usually they break.

93+ axles.
So I'll need to get the TT hub/knuckle with the abs sensors.
Does anybody here have the parts for me?

later, Curt A-man -- what are your plans for the car? We talking upgrading here for Road Racing or...? SJ Well, I'm just not happy with the stopping power of the current brakes. Brake fade and the vibration just drive me nuts. I've had the rotors turned and it didn't do jack. I'm sure some good brake fluid, good pads, and ss brake lines would go a long way. But, I figured if I could upgrade to some tt brakes on the cheap that I would add that to the list.

later, Curt that's the only place I could find them. I can get some made for probably $20. Just need to figure out the best material and dimensions of them. so +1 for the adapters...

Yes, pads, and fluid make a huge difference. Keep in mind you will need to find the ways of the force regardless which you decide. SS lines were many a pedal pressure feel for me, and peace of mind an old rubber one wasn't going to blow at at 120 in Canada Corner.
If you're not going to road race it, the brackets look like the best bet.
But you could probably solve many of those issues you have now as well.
Your call Doc.

ah, gotcha. So if I was thinking of some serious brake abuse you would stay away from the brackets? I probably won't be doing that yet for a year or two. I can always get the hubs/knuckles in the future. So you don't see a problem with the bracket idea?

FWIW, I am uncomfortable with brackets, shims, spacers, et al. Best, SJ
