I think I might be experiencing some spark blowout, at least I hope that's all it is.
I replaced my stock plugs with NGK coppers, I gapped them to just under OEM. (I think I did .40).
The car is completely stock, no boost controller.
When I get on it really hard (on ramps) the car pulls really hard like it should but suddenly it just kind stops accelerating for a split second then goes again and then another jump where it has no power. I'm not sure if I'm giving the best description but I guess I'd relate it to a heart missing a beat which leads me to believe that it could be the spark blowing out and missing on one or more cylinders.
The only thing I'm worried about is that I should not be getting blowout with a stock car running under the stock gap.
Mind you this problem ONLY happens when I accelerate really hard, when I'm just doing normal to moderate acceleration it's fine and smooth.
Any ideas?
I will be at the rural cruise so someone who knows more than I is welcome to drive it if that would help with diagnosis. Otherwise if anyone is in Madison and can take a look at it I would truly appreciate it.
Thanks Guys, Justin

I did change the wires, MSDs, but if anything that should provide a stronger spark right?
Could this be caused by not tightening the spark plugs enough?
If it is just a gapping issue, it's no big deal since I'll have to regap them anyways when I get around to putting in my boost controller.

EBC will require like 0.034 to prevent spark blow out at 1 bar. If you changed your wires, it could be fuel related then. Hard to say. What do you say guys? Help Justin out. here. SJ

Gap the plugs down farther. I too get random blow out on my completely stock car with them gapped to stock specs.

If you had your plugs loose enough to cause a problem you will know it. It would most likely spit and sputter at idle. If your curious, the plugs are supposed to be torqued to 18ft/lbs according to the manual. On a 3/8 drive ratchet that's about 1/3rd of a Greg. Don't overtighten and strip the threads then you would have a real problem.

Don't overtighten and strip the threads then you would have a real problem. actually, copper NGKs give a torque spec of "1/4 of turns," as f*cked up as that is... the dodge manual may be different, but I've never used a torque wrench on spark plugs. use anti-seaze everytime though. your aluminum heads will love you for that. As far as your sputter problems, I would also gap the plugs down to about .030, or so. Also, you may want to look at your coils and see if they are showing signs of rust... or wait til it gets dark, take a spray bottle of water that makes mist (note, thats MIST) and spray a few times around the coils and wires. that will help light up any arcs from your electrical system. What coppers did you get? because you may have gotten off a heat range, or something which could also affect blow out.

I'd also go back over EVERYTHING to be sure you didn't miss something, like a boot that's not quite all the way on, et al.

SJ Ditto. I just recently pulled off my whole thermostat housings because *something* was leaking anti-freeze. Turned out it was the filler neck that I could have taken off and replaced the gasket in 5minutes. I had painted it before assembly and apparently never finished putting it together.
