First off let me state that I think I've solved it, I just want to confirm my findings.

I'm running a Greddy Type S knock off BOV. I've had some odd knock ~5 counts with 40-50% throttle just hovering around 0PSI when accelerating. The knock is no there when doing a hard pull so it was somewhat confusing.

I was browsing 3si looking at the troubleshooting threads and came across one about BOV's and how far you want to adjust the 'plunger' for it to be effective and what its supposed to do.

I noticed mine was backed almost all the way out, so I tightened it down last night took it for a spin and made sure I didn't have compressor surge that was noticable etc. On the way to work I noticed that my partial throttle knock seems to have completely disappeared

Is this coincidence or a problem that I fixed un-knowingly? Hopefully on the ride home I'll have the same result.

Greg, if your reading this, its the same BOV I remember you having when I was out at your house awhile back. I think IPO had them for awhile.

That will happen with ANY BOV that is set too loose. I'm not really sure why that happens in closed loop but in open loop it's caued from running too lean from the BOV being open. The only time it should be open is when there is boost pressure in the y-pipe and vac in the intake manifold and all BOVs need to be adjusted to operate as such.
