Last night i got rod knock in my running stealth. I was running itkinda hard for a while yesterday, but i dont know if that had caused it do spun a bearing. So i really dont know what i wanna do with it now.

I'm sorry to hear about your car. What ever you do, don't send it to GZP to get fixed.

Bay Speed in De Pere also has some experience re-building 6g72's.
Race season is upon us, though, so they have a huge back log right now.
Mike's also not the fastest gun in the west to begin with, but he does really good engine work.
However, I'd tend to agree with "take it to that guy in milwaukee."

Well i ended up finding someone with a shortblock in Indy. It SHOULD be here friday so this weekend i might have that one running. Kinda ironic how i have the same issue twice and the 2nd time gets done over 100x faster.

Might be OT, but are you the guy I saw on 3si that took a year to get your engine from GZP? Hopefully you've gotten it since then, I had to pull teeth for 6mo to get mine from MyKiss.

Thought about this the other night. What will all need to be replaced besides head gaskets and an oil pump.

It'd be easier/cheeper to find yourself a deal on a used engine. Rebuilding the engine the "correct" way will cost over $1200. You can probably half-ass it for much less (turn down the crank, oversized bearings, forget about balancing, hone the cylenders with sanding stones...) and I could even provide you with a few of the parts you'd need but that'd be something you should speak with Jeff about in more detail.

Well today i stripped it down to the block. Cylinder #4 is the one that spun. I checked 1-4, and after i found out that it was that cylinder, i just stopped working on it for the day. Don't really know what caused it to spin yet. So while i was stiping it down, my clutch looked like itll last only for a little bit longer, so im going to be picking up a spec stage 2 clutch along with in a findaz light weight flywheel. The motor mounts arent that great too so ill be getting solids for them now. Then also the main stuff; oil pump, water pump, gaskets, oil pick up tube, and whatever minor things im forgetting. So if can get all the parts by the weekend, i might have it running by then.
