There are two pieces to this. There is another piece that's attached under my driver's side dash. I've been told it's a killswitch.. but yea that means what to me? I need to know what it is and if it will stop my car from starting if it's not working properly.. How the heck do I take this off and where would the wires run to?

Definately not factory. Do you have an aftermarket alarm?

Looks like a key from an aftermarket alarm. It has to be working and connected or bypassed in some way to allow the car to start. Much like that of the electronic keys used in cars today.

Looks like it *could* be an engine kill switch, although I've never seen one like that. Maybe it's a removeable ignition kill switch you take with you, like off of a cycle. It's not a line lock device is it?
Best,
SJ

As far as I know the car has the alarm system. Like if I lock the doors with the windows down and unlock the door through the window and alarm will go off.. hmm Could this possibly be stock(alarm system?). I bought the car in 2 years ago and we didn't really ask about it because we didn't notice it right away. I'll try to get a pic of the other part of it later on today. Does anyone know where I could take my car to get this taken offf?

They are located in Waukesha on Manhattan Dr. Give them a call: 262.542.8863 Ask for Chris Gates, tell him you know me and are in our car club. And of course let us know what you find out. Best, SJ

I'm guessing it is just an engine disable. Quote: Like if I lock the doors with the windows down and unlock the door through the window and alarm will go off.. That is just the factory system. You should be able to go to any car stereo shop and have it removed. I could do it but not until I'm done with school in May.

Does anyone know where I could take my car to get this taken offf? the interweb is greater than all of you. http://www.aboutsecurityconcepts.com/ca ... Ds=1272354It is a key for your car to disable the engine start. What you describe above is the stock alarm activating. To stop the alarm insert the key in the drivers side door and go from lock to unlock. If the system works, I'd leave it alone. Does the car start with the key out? because then it is already disabled, and you can more than likely just remove the unit. ok, now, how about a pic of you in the pink bikini posing by my car in repayment for the valuable info.

You supply the pink bikini and I might show up. Anyways... I called Chris but yea, I feel dumb! he had no clue what I was talking about. He said he'd never heard of a prolock system. I offered to send a picture to his email but for some reason I get a failure notice. I don't want to bug anyone or be annoying while they are working. Oh yea, I tried to see where the wire goes.. let me tell you I have a maze of wires under my dash..... and.. the wire is clipped... HMMMMMMMMMMMM When my dad comes home we are going to try to start it without the kill switch thing in to see if it starts.. right now it's just chillin there without a battary..

Hey, don't whine at me because I admire the female form. I'm fairly certain I was born that way. Besides, I have a live in girlfriend, and a 2 year old now. I have to take lewdness where I can get it now. thatgurljessika wrote: You supply the pink bikini and I might show up. sweetness. Summer photo shoot. game on. No grief intended Linus -- I was complimenting you. I am the same way. In all seriousness, I have had it up to here with this PC world -- you can't even offer anyone, even a so called friend, an opinion without fear or reprisal. I liked what I read. Best, SJ (edited 'cause I can't spell worth a sheet)
