What are the diffrences between 1st and 2nd gen engines?
Can you upgrade? What changes need to be made?

I had a 94 motor put in my 91. If you go to 3si.org and search for a guy name Mad Hatter he has a write up on the swap.I followed it. Plus I have a crank .

Well, it's not so much the difference between 1G and 2G as it is pre93 and later 93+.
Being your car is a 91, it has 2-bolt motor. The oil pump, oil pan, some brackets, and an adjustable CAS are you main differences.
