Hey guys. Just wanted to start a thread saying that the video from our gathering cruise in oct. is up. Its on the news page!! Not too sure how many people look at that too often but links to the video is up. Some info is on that page but just to say again Quicktime player is needed to view the videos and if you dont have it you can get it at www.apple.com There are 2 videos, 1st is of the cars, 2nd is of the cruise.. Kinda jumpy camera work but we will solve that problem next time.. May take a while to download if you dont have cable.. I have cable and saved it as and it took me like 1 minute.. Just curious if you guys saw it yet, if not take a look and tell me what you think. I think its cool to remember some of those fun, twisty roads.. Sorry for the delay cause its been a while, but had several problems with sending it. I actually made the video shortly after the gathering but it was too big of a file and the quality was to sucky. So about a week ago I redid everything and made 2 videos and got better quality out of it. Enjoy Ryan

Cool vid. Good choise of music too. Name of the song is Sandstorm right?
Pretty hard to keep the camera steady when your goen 80 in a 35.

Yep, sandstorm Ya very true about keeping it still.. Plus it was a last minute type of thing or else I would have taped more.. We were at that burger place and I had my digital camcorder out and then we decided for Bryan to ride with Jesse and tape it.. I was thinking if he set it on the dash(its got like a 3inch display) and held it tight to the dash and looked at the display it might be a little better. We are gonna have to test some stuff out and see what happens maybe. Definetly hard to hold a camera still when you are getting pulled back in your seat and then shifting and bounching up and down.. I done it plenty of times in my buddies camaro thats really dam fast too and thats got the inital through you back in your seat.. Instead of our cars where is pulling, pulling and then whoo hold on. ONe time they were doing 105 in a 35 cause Bryan asked Jesse how fast they were going when that 35mph sign came up, but I got rid of the sound from the tape and just used sandstorm music.. Thanks Ryan

There's gotta be an easy way to mount the camera inside the car. See what you can come up with Ryan. I'd love to videotape myself going around RA at Speed Seekers, but they will not allow handhelds, the camera has to be securely mounted.

Hey Ryan,
I watched them. I'm pretty old school, so I'm not a fan of the music. It was cool seeing all the Wisconsin cars. Next time you'll want to do something to keep the camera still. Its even harder to keep it still once you start to zoom.
later, Curt

Thanks Curt.. Ha I understand the music not appealing to all.. I picked that cause all the other stuff I had, Im thinking a lot of members wouldnt like so I figured at least that wasnt too bad.. Plus it was like 7 minute song so it worked well for the video I think.. Maybe its me... Actually its all Bryan's fault(titleistGTO) for not holding the camera still.. I was driving and Bryan was with Jesse taping.. Some day he will learn.. haha.. Actually Im working on something that hopefully will mount in the car securely and be able to hold the camera still for the most part... We will se what happens.. Curt on a side note.. On your link to the UMWG your links to the past gatherins on the 1st page(page that comes up when you click the link) the 02 & 03 are linked to the same page.. So if I click on 03 it goes to the 02 and if I click on 02 it goes to 02.. Just a little info incase you didnt realize that already.... Thanks Ryan

When I autocrossed I saw guys mount there cameras to rear strut tower braces. Might be a possibility. Video was very cool! 105 in a 35 Can't beat that with a bat! 3Si's rule!
