We did some DL whilst we were at Road America and ver fer was kind enough to ste it up and show us what to do, but I need to construct a better mount as she came unplugged and gave us an Error. Matt said what was logged all looked good. I've synced the Plam, how do I get the results so I can view them? Do tell. Thanks, SJ

There's a folder on your C: drive labeled PALM or something to that extent. Inside that folder is the name of your palm. Inside that is a folder named Archive.
The logs should be in there.
I have no idea if the 1G loggers save the files as .txt files, but the hybrid loggers need to use a "translator" file that's provided by Shiver to change the file to a .txt file (Note Pad).
Did I lose you?

I have a Palm m100 and in the program files directory there is a folder called PalmOne. In there is a folder called GT3. Under that folder is sub-folder called MMcd where is stores my hotsync'd logs. The logs will have a .pdb file extension. If you can't file were they are at go to the Palm folder and search for files with .pdb extensions and you should be able to find where they are at. Now to read the information you need to download the MMcd Tools program. When you open MMcd tools go to "File"..."Open" and open the .pdb log file. Then all you have to do is save it as a .xls file extension. So click on "File" and then "Save As", change to .xls and then "Save"....your done. Once you do that you can open the file in Excel for viewing. What I found is the best way to do all of this is to creat a new folder called logs and copy the files to it. Then do all your conversions there. That way when you delete the original log files you will still have a copy to keep. I hope this helps.
Kyle

Sorry I've been negligent on this topic.
I couldn't find anything, but have a "print screen" I hopefully will be able to post later.
Thanks,
SJ

The palm should have made a folder on your C: drive probably in a folder like program files. Basically the MMcd Program has a folder somewhere on your computer. Do a search of your C: drive for a folder called MMCd. In this folder is where the logs should be stored when your palm is sync'd to your computer. Mine are stored on my computer here c:\program files\palmone\GT3\MMcd The files will be stored as an extension of .pdb You can also search for filess with this extension to find the location. Once you find the logs you will need to covert them to an excel file. You will need the MMcd Tool program to do this. Download it from here http://mmcdlogger.sourceforge.net/#DownloadOnce you have the MMcd tools program on your machine its easy. Just start the MMcd tools program. Go to File "Open". Open the log you want. It will have the .pdb extension. Once you have it open then click on File "Save As" and change the extension to .xls (excel format) and click on Save. Now you can open the file (.xls) in excel and read all the information. Let me know if you need any more help. Kyle

Wow, glad your fast and up to date on your logs SJ.......10 months later after this thread started.....lol.
If you can't find the file in the folder Program files/ palmOne etc... do a search on your computer for the file extension .pdb
I'm sure the only files with that extension will be your log files. Once you find the logs they need to be converted for viewing.
Did you download the MMcD tools program? You need that so you can convert the .pdb file to an excel .xls file so you can open it on your computer. Then the fun begins reading the info.

Been struggling with a connection issue. Okay, I'll look AGAIN, but I swear the damn things are not transfering off the Palm... SJ

I found what looks like the file stored under: c:\programfiles\handspring\jesse\BackUp It looks like: 8_14_07-13_22_35_-_GFMS This cryptic correlates to the date and time of the log. The file extension looks like a Palm Database File (?). I tried downloading the tools several times, but was unsure where to put them. Regardless, it indicates in the READ ME: "The installation script "MMCdTools.nsi" is located in the NSIS directory. Right clicking on this file will provide the option to build the install file. The installer executable is found in the NSIS\Setup folder."Found the ".nsi" file, found NOTHING in the setup folder. Please advise -- frustration level is high. Thanks, SJ

Sorry I can't help you. You could try posting in the MMCd thread on 3SI.
