Tomorrow will be my final day at Ground Zero Performance as a full time mechanic. Hans and I have our issues, but the main reason for this is the lack of pay. I haven't quit working there completely, however, there definately won't be any more 65 hour work weeks for less than $5/hr. I will probably only be working there on weekends and maybe nights if there's a major project. Working on these cars has become a passion and even though the pay sucks, I do enjoy the work and inneracting with the customers.
Today I was hired by Mack Truck/Volvo in Allentown, PA as a part specification manager. This is a full time contract which will last about 6 months. It seems like a tedious job, but it pays well and gets my foot in the door of a very large company that seems like it will be around for a very very long time. I'm actually very excited about this job as most of the employees seem to be "gear heads".
I've decided that moving back to WI right now isn't the best idea for me, however I do plan on making more trips out for gatherings and holidays.
I would also like to thank Aaron, Jesse, Eric, and everyone else who helped me in my job search.
...and Brandon, I'm still your inside source for what's going on with your motor. I will do anything I can to make sure Hans doesn't screw you.

Congrats on the new job.
Seeing you will already be on the Mack payroll you may be able to get a job at Mack here in WI... I am really good friends with one of the supervisors at the Mack in Fond du Lac. If you ever consider going that route, let me know.
Neil

Neil Definately. I should have access to their internal classified board and will check out any job opening in WI. If I find something that looks intresting, I'll let you know.

Best,
SJ Yeah my friend was there since we graduated high school, which was 10 years ago already I stopped in there on more than one occasion and he shown me where the shop naps in the middle of the night (3rd shift). I don't think he does that anymore now that he is a supervisor and on 1st shift. But shows it is a easy going place to work.

Greg, Congrats on finding something decent - and being able to keep the "hobby" that you've been doing. At least now you'll get paid for working.

Greg,
Congratulations on the new job!! You said you were looking to get a job with more $$$. Glad you were able to find something in a short period of time. I would be great if eventually you can work your way back to WI. And again....thanks for the water pump, timing belt, etc.....install at the gathering. I loved the picture of you on the trike!
