Well.
We got her running last night.
She actually pretty much jumped to life. We pulled the ECI fuse to spin her over a bit before we fired her up to build a bit of oil pressure after sitting so long.
After that, threw the fuse back in, and turned her over twice, and it was no go. pulled a plug. dry as a bone. yanked the fuel pump wire off the relay bypass, touched it to the positive side of the battery, she filled the lines with fuel, (should have done this in the first place) and re-hooked up the wire, jumped in, and WHAM. she started up and idled at about 1400 rpm. (I had replaced the biss screw o-ring, but had no clue where it needed to be set.) So, we turned her down to about 1,000 rpm, and let her idle there at a bit higher oil pressure (2 bar) because there was mean and nasty lifter tick, which eventually got better, but never went away. (I've always had lifter tick in my car though.)
Things that still need to be adressed.
1) passanger side (primary) fan is mounted in the blower position on the AC condensor. it will rub if the car travels down the road at any appreciable speed. Gonna have to come up with something.
2) resistor for the primary fan needs to be mounted somewhere.
3) Drivers side fan needs to be wired in yet. the wiring diagram for the fan in the service manual does not match the wires and pinouts on the drivers side fan. thus we had no clue how to hook it up. I would like this one to work like the primary fan. How can we wire it over so that they will both see 12 volts when needed?
4) need to get my negative battery terminal off my old battery at Matt's house. the vise grips will not do going down the road.
5) need many more t-bolt clamps. I under estimated by (1) 2 1/2 " and (3) 3" clamps. boo on me.
6) need to get a new coupler, or make sure Duct Tape is a suitable coupler for the MAS to the intake pipe...

I'm kinda leaning towards, let the duct tape there, it's just temperary.
7) permenantly mount overflow bottle somewhere in the engine bay.

think about re-working oil return line, as I'm not sure how well it's working... perhaps 2 45's will be perfect.
9) hook up wastegate to boost controller.
10) get better silicone hose for hooking up vacuum line stuff.
11) Get the car on the road and enjoy it while there is still some summer left.
I think that's it. Matt, was there anything else that you saw that needed to be dealt with?
P.S. It has a completely kick-@$$ exhaust note. Sounds really mean... You could even hear the turbo whistle a little from burping the throttle last night. it sounds kinda cool.
P.P.S. where's my certificate to the "I have a single and you don't" Walek club? DJAuggie. w00t.
