Ok kiddies. time to start re-filling the vital fluids.
while I'm down here, I figured I'd hit them all.
TRANNY:
tranny had redline in it. I can get the redline MT fluid from my uncle for an arm and a leg. 75W straight. thought we wanted 75W-90? confirm anyone? Also, not sure if I liked Redline. Once the transmission warmed up, it was butter. Until then, I grinded gears like a 6 year old playing in dad's old truck. Granted, this only lasted for about two blocks, but it's there none the less.
Royal Purple 75W90. I can pick this up at the local Napa. In stock. Anyone try it? Good-bad?
I'd like to stick with those two, as then I can differentiate any leaks... red/purple tranny....
ENGINE:
Mobile One 15W50. If I can scrape together over 10 quarts. (the benz needs some to... 8 quarts in that alone.) I can only find this stuff in one or two cans all around town... uber-lame-sausage.
TRANSFERCASE:
A TINY bit came out when throwing the t-case back on, but it only holds a tiny bit, and is the same stuff since I have owned the car. what's good?
RADIATOR:
I've got some generic brand of antifreeze, and I've got some water-wetter from my uncle, which he claims is good for 10 degrees... I'm skeptical, but I'll throw it in and see.
BRAKE FLUID:
Dot 4 or 5, or whatever the manual says... I'll just grab some at the local parts store.
STEERING FLUID:
I dunno. I'll find something that's red. and is labeled steering fluid. w00t.
And that's about all I know about. let me know if I forgot anything.
Still waiting for the bolt for the suspension to come in... over a week from Mitsu. Must be shipping it on the slow boat...
Everything is good to go with the car, minus one bolt on the wastegate actuator. I've got to find a way to tighten it with no way to get a wrench on it. I'll think of something in the next day or so...
Thanks guys.

TRANNY: Stick with the redline 75w90. Put it in your t-case too. I don't see any reason you couldn't go with the straight up 75w either.
ENGINE: Mobile One 15W50. (if you can find it) Nothing wrong with 20w50 either unless your turbo manufacturer specifically says not to use it.
RADIATOR: Generic antifreeze is fine. Don't go with the pre-mixed as you'll need a more water than coolant mix.
Add the water-wetter and a cooler thermostat. You'll need them.
STEERING FLUID: Something something that's red and is labeled steering fluid will work perfectly.
You STILL haven't gotten that suspention bolt!?!?!?!?! WTF?

tanks Greg. I was not planning on going with the pre-mix anti-freeze. cooler thermostat? I thought we decided that in Wisconsin that would just make it run rich all the time in warm up mode? also, on that subject... I did not pay attention to the small drain hole on the thermostat... is that a big deal to have it up or down? Still have not recieved and suspension bolts. This bolt is harder to get than single turbo headers...

I don't think that will be a problem once the AEM is in.

I don't think it will be a problem. I may take a little longer to get to operating temp. I sure you'll get it over 180 deg.

Brian I got the new JDM Euro-spec LED blinkers. no fluid required. I think they have a dry lubricant applied at the factory...

Go with the colder thermostat. It's warm enough outside where the water temp will still get above operating temp.
JUST DO IT!
