Recently I have noticed people who have some interesting setups such as a 9B in the front and a 13G in the back. Also someone was running a 15G/9B combo.
So what happens when one turns up the boost in this situation? Say as high as possible on pump gas w/out knock. Is the 9B stressed too far out of it's efficiency range (causing early failure) And is the other turbo able to operate in it's efficiency range for moving enough air.
Obviously if this can be done without problems it would make for a cheaper upgrade than 2 matched turbos.
What would be the ideal combo?
9B/13G ? 9B/15G ? 13G/15G ?
Anyone want to give their highly suhjective opinion?
BTW Greg, I tried to email you but your email box was full. Perhaps it disagreed with the 2 Megs of pictures i tried to send.

It's retarded. You don't get the benifts of either turbo, just a compromise of both.
I'm too tired to elaberate more than that...

I think that most poeple that use the combos are just broke/cheap or lazy. Don't do it. There is no real advantage to it.

unless your doing a sequential system, it benefits don't seem that great.
you don't get low end of a 9b, and the high end, of lets, say a 15g.
you get some where in the middle for both turbos. not to mention your flogging that little 9b to death.
anything with a tdo4 housing is going to spool stupid fast. just get 2 15g's if your looking for more power. or whatever your flavor of choice is.

15G's it is then.
Are there any companies out there that will sell 15Gs that bolt up? Contrastly how difficult is it to modify the other non bolt up versions.
Hey Adam, did you find a place for your DR650s yet? (have they been rebuilt?)

I have DR500s.
I have been a little busy with work, the other turbo project, and moving my girlfriend in to send them back.
I also want to get a warranty with them. seeing as everyone and there brother wants a 13T for five dollars, I think a warranty will be one of the better selling points that DR turbos will have now.
BTW. I hate cats.
