Ok, getting ready to get the turbo conversion going, and i have been reading info about the e-manage ultimate...
"....Tool CD Use of a speedy standard USB cable for tuning, monitoring, and datalogging Ideal for optimizing and fine-tuning for performance products like exhaust, air intake, intercoolers, boost controllers and turbo upgrades, the e-Manage Ultimate and do it better than any other system on the market today."
so, if i read this right, I don't need a data logger AND the e-manage. I can use the e-manage as the data logger. Hook it up into the harness without any correction and off I go?? What do you guys think?

NO.
It will not do everything a data logger can do. You will miss valuable information.

It can only log the signals that you tap from the ECU. It can't do knock for example.
In fact, I've noticed some inconsistancies with the e-manage and the logger. TPS for example. On the logger it reads 13% at idel (which it should be), but on the e-manage it reads 0%.

It has to read 0% at idle because that's what you calibrate the emanage for. The ECU sends a voltage at idle, and you in turn use that voltage as your 0% on the emanage. then the full throttle signal is also your 100%, despite whatever your ECU wants to put out, because that's what you calibrate the Emanage as 100%.
If you wanted to find some way to input the voltage I believe you could... or change the Y-axis on the TPS graph I suppose you could, but once again, that would affect how the emanage adjusted the fuel curve, but I suppose it could be done.

sorry Y-axis on the TPS vs. rpm graph... I believe... it's been a long day.
