Okay,
I need some help on this... Okay first of all I'll explain everything. On my 1991 Dodge Stealth Base Model I have a leaking catylic converter i've decided becuase i hear at idle a phhh, phhh, sound and then i look underneath of it and it sounds like it's coming out of the catylic coverter soo.. What i am thinking of doing is getting a Hi-flow Catylic converter then meanwhile i'm working on the exhaust why not put on an aftermarket muffler? Then I've also heard the SOHC engine has a deep Bassy sound and even keep the converter and just ditching the muffler? Well what's on it now is stock exhaust all the way back until the tip where there is an aftermarket can muffler made by rac/tive and I can put my ear up too it at idle and i hear a high pitched kinda sound really faint though but then when under acceleration you can really notice the inside resononance soo I am undetermined if it's an echo box? and it's not loud but noticeable maybe the muffler was gutted? I don't know. So any help would be welcomed. I need help on what the best muffler is too I heard somebody put on a Flowmaster Series 2 muffler and they claim it's the best sounding ever but i have looked and have not found any series 2 muffler by flowmaster. So then i need help on the catylic converter too. So any help would be much Appreciated... Thanks. Woody.

Hey Woody, I've got a custom exhaust system off a SOHC that has a straight pipe in place of the cat conv. This system goes from the exhaust manifolds back. I paid 450.00 for it and I'd let you have it for 150.00, it has a newer downpipe, and should be in good shape, let me know if your interested we can talk more on it.

Yeah That sounds like it wouold be good becuase it might leak somewhere else besides catylic converter before it so a new downpipe would be good. I am going down that way on July 8th on the way to Wasau and then too the iola old car show with some relatives marshfield is on the way so maybe we can get together? PM me with your Phone number or something. Oh and what do you have for a muffler on it? let me know thanx. Woody.

I've heard good things about the YOGURT! exhaust on 3si. I'm not sure if he makes one for the SOHC though. Do a search on 3si for YOGURT! exhaust and maybe you'll find something, or just send him a PM and ask him. I think his prices are pretty reasonable.
