For those of you still thinking about coming, the opportunity is there -- including running at Gingerman!
This is from the newsletter:
Once again, we want to start off by thanking our sponsors. Without them this event could not happen.
Out title sponsor again this year is Dynamic Racing,
www.dynamicracing.com. This is Matt's 2nd year as the Title sponsor and he was the Drag Race Event Sponsor in both 2002 and 2003. His support to the National Gathering has been outstanding and we hope everyone takes the time out to thank him at the event!
For the 3rd year in a row 3SX Performance,
www.3sxperformance.com, is sponsoring the Car Show. This is their 4th year as an Event Sponsor. They have been a great asset to the NG and we are very thankful for their enormous support they have given.
The Auto Cross is again being sponsored by South Bend Clutch,
http://www.southbendclutch.com/. This is their 2nd year sponsoring this event. We are privileged to have them as a sponsor and hope if anyone has time during the NG they should make time to stop by their shop and see how they make these great clutches.
The Drag race sponsor this year is Import Power Online,
http://www.importpoweronline.com. This is the 2nd year in a row he has sponsored this event. He was also an associate sponsor in 2003. Chris has been outstanding in helping and supporting the National Gathering every year!
SuperCar Engineering,
http://supercar-engineering.com has stepped up this year from being an associate sponsor the last 3 years to being the Road Course Sponsor. Phil has been outstanding in his support to the NG.
Our associate sponsors this year are SpeedFreak Racing,
http://www.speedfreakracing.net, (this is his 2nd year as an associate sponsor). Tire Rack,
www.tirerack.com, has sponsored every year and is proud to provide the amazing auto cross track that we will be using this year. Stealth3000GTParts.com (this is Kevin's first year as a sponsor), we are glad to see him step up to help out this year. And last but not least, Pampena Motorsports,
http://www.pampenamotorsports.com, this is also Ray's first year as a sponsor we welcome him!
Please be sure to thank every one of these sponsors, but more importantly, DO BUSINESS WITH THESE COMPANIES!!
We are very excited about this event. We have never had a National Gathering so easy to plan and vendors so easy to work with. From the tracks to the sposnors, everyone has been very helpful and has done an outstanding job and helping us get ready for the BEST NATIONAL GATHERING EVER!
Here is some important information we ask everyone to review. There is some new information included so please be sure to review the entire email!
Registration:
It is very imperative to print a copy of your totals page on the National Gathering Registration. This is your receipt and proof of your payment and helps speed up registration immensely.
Log on to the signup system and be sure that your account is up to date on payments.
www.3snationalgathering.com/signupEveryone that has registered or is a guest will receive a nametag and lanyard. This is your ticket into all events. This is mandatory to have at all times. We are implimenting a $5 charge for remaking any lost nametags this year.
We will start registering guests at the hotel around 3:00pm on Wednesday of the event. There are a few changes on registration this year so please be sure to follow the directions that are given at registration.
All cars will be required to have their registration number on them at all times while in the "reserved" parking lot at the hotel, as well as at ALL events. If we find a car without a regiration number is the reserved parking lot, we reserve the right to have that vehicle towed at the owners expense!
It is also important that you keep your name tag with you at all events. Your name tag is your ticket into all events this year without execeptions. If you lose your name tag, it will cost $5 to have a new one made, plus you'll have to pay the entry fee to the event, if there's a gate charge.
Chapter Challenge:
This year happens to still be a close race and every car counts. If you are part of a chapter, make sure you are signed up under your chapter.Racing Events:
All racers are required to wear a helmet. You are responsible for bringing your own CERTIFIED helmet. PLEASE NOTE: Racers are required to wear long pants and closed toe shoes for all racing events due to insurance requirements.
It is very important that ALL drag racers review the IHRA rules pertaining to safety equipment and vehicle preparation, this is your responsibility to know what is expected of you to race.
There are still a few spots available in the road course. Please contact John Monnin, John@3snationalgathering.com, for details !Car Show:
This year for the car show, you will be assigned a parking space. In order to parked in the reserved parking spots at the car show, you must be registered for the car show. When you check in at registration there will be a piece of paper for everyone that wants to enter the car show to sign in. We would love to see every car in this lot even if you don't think you will win a trophy. This will be a great photo opportunity to have all the cars together in one lot. It is very impressive to see 200 3/S's in the same lot so please, if you have a car at the event, please sign up for the car show so we can show all these beauties off together.
If you have any questions, please contact Brian Hagelshaw. He is the event coordinator for the car show.
Hotel:
The official hotel is still sold out, we will make a post if any rooms become available. If you need to make reservations at the secondary hotel you can find their information in the national section on 3si at
http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?t=261718.
Volunteers:
Volunteers are an absolute must to have this event a success. If everyone would just give 15 minutes during the week, this would take so much stress off of the committee and event coordinators that have already stepped up and volunteered many hours to make this event a success. Remember, this event is kept so cheap due to generous people stepping up and volunteering, it is only courtious to help out a little to keep this event so inexpensive.
Please be sure to contact the following people to volunteer for any of these events.
