Going to do another 60 as long as the motor is out....even though one was done 20k ago.
I think this is all I need, let me know if it isnt: Water Pump Timing Belt Tensioner Oil Pump
Other items needed: New Oil Pan Oil Pick Up Tube Full Gasket Kit (Im not sure if it would be cheaper or not to buy the individual pieces because a ton of my gaskets are already brand new)
I was thinking about getting everything mitsupartsdirect (still probably going to be around 700 bucks. I dont know if the dealership in waukesha will match pricing, but let me know where you guys suggest getting those parts.

The water and oil pumps should come with all the gaskets and seals you'd need. I'd also suggest replacing the ideler and timing pullies. Considered replacing the valve stem seals for the heck of it?
I thought your oil pan was fine:?:

Oil pan is probably fine...but for an extra 90 bucks, might as well replace it

Yeah I know that Mitsudirect is having its 20% of tuneup sale or whatever. However, check out www.import-power.com, he has a remanufactured water pump for a decent price, as well as a couple other things that are reasonable. The timing belt is like 93 bucks shipped or something like that. Not too shabby

Idler Pulley MD319022 Timing Belt Tens. Pulley MD140071
The stock crank pulley is also known for coming appart on occasion. Might be a good idea to replace it with a new factory one or a light weight one.

I just got off the phone with the stealership:
MD997670 Gasket Set 284.49 MD158618 Pick Up Tube 27.59 MD166157 Oil Pan 102.15 MD193874 Timing Belt 91.67 MD972005 Water Pump 91.00 MD319040 Tensioner 80.40 MD150013 Oil Pump 144.40 --------------------------------- Total 821.70
MD319022 Idler Pully 21.84 MD140071 Timing Belt Tens. Pulley 23.65
I dont know if that is the best deal I can get or not, but yeah...I think I'll be going without a new oil pan. Do I really need a whole freaking gasket set? Here are the contents of the gasket set: MD183239 Gasket, Oil Pickup Screen MD189778 Gasket, Oil Pump Case to Filter Bracket MD189779 Gasket, Oil Pump Case to Engine Block MD356876 Gasket, Water Pump MD194403 Gasket, T/C Oil Return Pipe (4) MR258477 Gasket, T/C Oil Return Pipe (2) MD143791 Gasket, Intake Plenum MD149764 Gasket, EGR Pipe (2) MD164701 Gasket, Intake Manifold (2) MD195654 Gasket, Cylinder Head Water Hole (4) MD120699 Oil Seal, Crankshaft Rear MD372249 Oil Seal (Unknown, possibly crankshaft front?) That looks about right.
Remember the oil pump (also known as the front case) will come with the gasket that joins it to the block, oil filter housing, and pickup tube. It will also come with a new front main seal (your unknown MD372249). Might as well get a new oil pressure sender and oil light switch (both attach to the oil pump).
The water pump will come with a new o-ring (for the main water pipe) and gasket.

So should I still buy that entire gasket kit?

No, buy just the upper engine gasket kit without the head, thermostat housing, and exhaust gaskets. They might have another name for that kit. Spark plug change kit or something... The valve (rocker) cover gaskets would be extra though.
Going that route, you'd have to order the return line, rear main seal (MD120699), and dipstick gaskets by themselves, that's all.

All of my upper gasket stuff is new...valve covers, spark plug holes, TB, plenum, intake manifold. I did all of those when I put the powdercoated stuff on 500 miles ago. So I only really need 2 headgaskets, the 2 oil drain gaskets, rear main seal, and dipstick gasket then right?

If they're that new, just go over them again with a light coating of RTV.
Are you pulling the heads (was told you don't need to in order to replace the VSSs)? If so, then you will need the thermostat, exhaust, and head gaskets.
